Tears rolled down hersoft white cheeks, and she layed down ouside, just wishing for the bitter cold to take her over and leave nothing of her.
James yipped and backed up "I...i ... i dont.. know" he said "I.. i saved you.. from.. the cold...." he laid down and covered his face with his bushy tail.
She would get their attention, damn it. She couldn't figure out why she had a sudden urge for company, an urge to speak with and be with someone, something. It was a new feeling to her, and she followed it without question. She decided, however, that she was going to do it her way. A snarl lept from her throat, its ferocity unmatched, and it echoed through the area. Her lips remained curled back as she awaited a response; if the other wolves hadn't heard it, they were simply deaf.
ooc: Mmk.
ic: She watched him come, the one that she'd beaten, and she allowed her lithe frame to fall back upon muscular haunches as he neared. She traced his movements almost wearily, breathing deeply to calm herself. His death would bring her nothing, so she had already decided against ending his life.
"Hello," she spoke, but not in a harsh manner. She was not showing kindness to the creature before her, but indifference hinting gratitude at his presence. He was not who she had expected. She had thought that she would never see him again.
Kai smirked "Your getting old, to old to start trouble against a whole pack." he said "Im not being rude, but what you were doing could have gotten yourself killed, and i dont think either of us want that." he spoke in a polite mannor, not being rude. Although this wolf beat him a long while back, he still cared for the saftey of her life. As he does with all wolves.
"Old? Me? Never. You're correct in one thing however; I never have been and never will be in the condition to take on a pack of wolves, not one over three my size or larger, at least. I'm not sure I've ever known anyone who is." She yawned silently and stretched, her spine curving downward as her paws reached out well beyond her head. She felt at ease, this male's caring keeping her from being worried. She was always so tense with the threat of the countless enemies she had made over the years that she rarely, if ever, was able to relax. Besides, as long as her stomach was full, she likely didn't pose too much of a threat to those around her, granted they didn't get on her nerves. "I am Crow, by the way."
EDIT: I'm thinking of a stretch like this.
"Do not flatter yourself, Kai; I do not flatter you. The number is amazing; the creature has yet to prove himself so." She spoke with a straight face, her lips not tightening into a smirk in the slightest. "As for remaining alone, I am alone because I wish to be. It is who I and what I am. I tolerate scarce few beings, and then only when I am in a tolerating sort of mood. Besides, I would be quite a difficult creature to get along with in a pack, would I not?"
Kai smiled "I get along with you, always have. Just in a different way than others." he turned his head, but kept his right eye on her "I understand your personality, but i highly doubt you've been getting along so well these past few weeks. You have to remember that i can always help you when you need it, and you look as though you've needed help these past few weeks.. you look haggard and tired." Kai laid down slowly "Friendship is new to you, isnt it?"
Well, Crow wouldn't have considered that they got along in any way, shape, or form, but she wasn't going to disagree with him right now. Later, perhaps, but not now. "I've been just fine, although your concern is touching." A note of sarcasm shone through in the last clause of her statement, and the green in her eyes came forward as she rolled them.
"I do not need help; I am doing well, and I don't plan on doing differently." Her body came close to contradicting her statements, as her coat was slightly thinner due to lack of essential oils and her frame itself becoming slightly more gaunt than it once had been; she'd been eating, but not much, and her pride was worth more; she was 'above' asking for help. The life of a lone wolf was a tough one compared to pack life, but it was the life that she had always known; she couldn't dream of anything different. "Friendship is undiscovered territory for me. A friendly relationship is one that I have never had."
Kai sighed and smiled "So, besides the fact that you look a bit skinny, sick, and so on, you do not want my help?" He looked directly into her eyes "I for one, think you are wrong, you do need help, or you will die. I do not care if you want help or not, it is for your own good." he sat up incase she were to attack him for what he said.
