She wasn't going to attack him, but she was going to disagree. "How I look and what I feel like and truly am are completely different. Perhaps I am wrong, but I do not think so. I do not need help." Ah, Crow. Always stubborn, too much so for her own good. She simply wrapped her tail around her paws and waited.

Kai smiled "Im going to help you, crow. I do not tend to leave a sick wolf, a hungry wolf, like yourself, alone." He smirked "Are you hungry? if so, i will get you something to eat."

(forgive me for the double post...)

Kai smiled at Crow "Please crow, i want to help you, you arent fending for youself to well. remember this. if you ever need me, just howl..." he smiled and walked back up to the cave and sat next to roja "Im sorry if i upset you earlier, roja" he said "I would just like to get to know you."

"No," she snapped verbally at Kai as he offered to get her food. She could do it on her own. Now that that damn urge for company was gone, she fell upon the ground, her body protesting as it hit the hard earth. She lay silently and still, the only movement flickering across her body the soft rising and falling of her chest as she breathed. Her golden eyes remained closed as her body tried to recover; the act that she'd attempted to put up had been tiring, and not very good at that.

James sighed. Being a fox with vary keen hearing, He was running around the woods for his daily excersize.. He slid to a stop when he saw a large wolf, definatly a loner. he was basically frozen, but the wolf looked to tired to attack him right now, but he couldnt take the chance. He slowly and gently walked through the melting snow, going past the wolf. He stopped and looked at the wolf's face. It was obviosly a female, and he already knew it. But females can get very aggresive, and thats in all species. He slowly started walking again when he stapped on a small sharp rock, it stabbed into his paw and he yelped loudly. knowing what he had just dnoe, he dropped to his belly and laid there, his bushy tail covering his face. He always did that when he was scared, but it was his only way of showing he didnt mean anything.

(Im talking about your char Dawson. i just thought id try and see what you would act like around a small fox pup ^^)

Her ears flickered forward and her eyes shot open, focusing instantly upon the little creature. She stood slowly up, almost painfully, and walked towards the tiny thing. She knew what it was but sniffed anyway, her nose moving his tail from his face. A wry smile contorted her features, and she almost chuckled at the fox. So cute. And yet... She picked him up by the scruff of the neck; would he be sinewy?

(i dunno what sinewy means -.-)

James whimpered from fear. He didnt know what the wolf was going to do "P..please dont eat me!" he begged. he didnt strugle because he teeth could hurt him. He just was still, whimpering.

The alpha stared at the floor for the longest time.
"Why would you want to know me? Is there something you want" She then looked at the injured wolf. "Why are you so set on helping people..."

Kai smirked "Because i didnt get any help when i was growing up." he said looking out of the cave "I lived alone, and ever since then, i decided to help others who needed it. I want to get to know you, because, i am your friend. And i would like to know you more than just your name, Roja."

"That's a good trait to have, Kai. Perhaps someday you will be a better leader than I have been." Roja stood and stretched. "If you are my friend, then you already know me. Maybe we should go get some food for our wounded buddy."

Kai smiled and nodded "OK" he said and waited for her to lead.

ooc: Sinewy is like tough to eat. A sinew is a tendon.

ic: "Aww, but you'd taste so good," she mocked, her face breaking into a beautifully evil grin as she dropped the small fox. She pinned him down lightly with a paw, being careful not to damage him; bruised meat doesn't taste near as good. "Now, do you have a last wish, little one?"

ooc: If you really don't want him dead, I suppose that I won't kill 'im if you tell me, but I'm going to need an interference to keep Crow from just scarfing him down.

James looked around He started to whimper loudly. Kai was already out hunting in the woods with Roja and he heard the whimper. He ran and skidded by Crow "Crow..." he said "Dont you know its not good for you to eat foxes? they never taste good. If you really want something to eat, there are a herd of deer a bit deeper in the forest." he looked at James and sighed. He quickly ran over to them and yanked the small fox out from under Crow's paw and ran about ten feet away from crow so he wouldnt be attacked "Its only a pup Crow, and im afraid im not letting you hurt him."

James looked up at the smaller wolf, but was almost as big as crow. He whimpered and ran into the bush and burried himself under the melting snow "I promised id help you, Crow, however, i do not wish to have a dead pup here, especially when i know one of my friends did it" Kai said

"Deer do not taste as good as carnivores of any type. Besides, you're right, he is a pup; pups are never as tough to chew as their adult counterparts. They taste better too." She watched the lump in the snow with a hungry eye, and her stomach grumbled in protest to having its dinner taken away. "You won't have a dead pup, Kai; he'll be in my stomach. Just this once."

Kai shook his head "Im sorry Crow, but no. A death to a pup is worse than a death to me, or you, or any other adult wolf. You may not know it, but there is something called guilt. And if i let you kill this defensless pup, i would be filled with guilt." Kai ssat and licked hit leg, cleaning the dirt off of it and his paw. He stood back up and smiled like he usually does.

"Since when is a whelp's life worth more than an adult's?" She snapped verbally, beginning to get upset with someone who was supposed to be her friend. "Seeing as I've never had one before, tell me Kai, is this what friends do? Let their friends starve?" She knew about guilt; she just didn't feel it. She paced back and forth angrily, her lips curled back in a silent snarl as she looked intently at Kai, waiting for an answer.

Kai looked at her and turned away. "No, but i offered to hunt with you, and you refused it. And just because you do not have a pup does not mean they are worthless. This will be my final offer... Will you come hunting with me, or end our friendship by eating this young fox pup?"

"You offered to hunt for me, not with me. Besides, I never said that they are worthless, but I am not convinced that the tiny one's life is worth more than mine. Unless you have not noticed Kai, I do not feel guilt. I do not feel pity. I cannot tell you whether those feelings are above me or below me, that's for you to decide, but I can tell you that I do not feel them, and I have never yet been moved by a serious attachment to other beings. It is both a success and a downfall, a blessing and a curse." She had long since stopped her pacing, and the snarl had ceased, but she was not feeling any calmer. She could take up his offer and hunt with them, although doing so would likely get her killed by the alphess, weakened as she was. Then again, she could decline and eat the thing; all that this friendship had brought her so far was pain and hunger.

"Some friend you are," she scoffed, moving slowly, weakly, and, yet, confidently towards the tiny lump in the snow.

"Crow, i will be a good friend, i wish for you to hunt with me on the other side of the ewoods, so that you do not get in trouble with that pack..." he said as he walked infront of the small fox under the snow to block her path "Please crow, i beg you, do not hurt the fox pup.. if it makes you feel better, i will let you kill me instead. I will wilingly give my life, just so long as you do not hurt this pup" he sat there infront of the fox pup.
