Whats original about having Ki blasts and girls with purple hair? 😖 Doesnt every anime have that? Wait, doesn't DBZ have that?

Tekken is more realistic, it isn't about impossible blasts and moves, you'd never be able to put that in a movie and expect an intelligent audience to take it seriously. If we want a fighting movie, we don't want a joke of a movie with Charlies angels like the game and movie DOA was and is.

What's so realistic about a bunch of characters transforming into demons with eye blast and fighting kangaroo's? And video game movies always suck, I can't wait for tekkens movie to come out.

Tekken really can't even be compared to DOA, DOA is mainly about girls and has no real depth or characters with any difference, the moves are made up because Tecmo was too lazy to go and study real moves, and languages are lazy, there is only Japanes and English, and the movie was very much American, they is no effort to incoperate Russian, Korean, English, American and various other laguages Tekken does.

How does speaking your own language makes a game deeper, that's just seems like a gimmick to me.

As for characters beating Tekken characters in the looks, nah, DOA characters vaugly look different from each other, there is no way to differentiate who is american from who is japanese except from thier hair styles, give Helena the same hair as Ayame and she'd look japanese 😛 Its lazy, real lazy. Well guess what Tecmo, if you're too lazy to make a decent fighter, I'm too lazy to purcase your games. Simple resolution 🙂

I partly agree with that, tekken does have way better character design. But, I think it's just doa is just being lazy, because ninja gaiden looks completely different.

THIS THREAD AGAIN!

Lmao, you just said it, lol, what is so original about fighting kangeroos, polar bears transforming into deamons etc? The answer is in your question 🙂 When was the last time you saw a fighting game that decided to incorperate a fighting bear and kangeroo 🙂 Not even Bloody Roar a beast changing game has that, and deamon changing, well the only other I can think of is Devil May Cry, and that came out long after Tekken 🙂

It doesn't, but it adds more effect, I don't expect a game to have a character who is apparently from Sweden but speaks English or Japanese, thats just cheap, and kinda lame. The Japanese talking Jin is much cooler and convincing then him speaking in pure American isn't it?

What lang they speak makes no difference, but you have to admit, you can't have ppl who come from a country not speaking that accent, Steve comes from Britain, its awesome hearing his English accent and funny as well, "Ya can't top me mate", sounds like the right geeza, its funny, its convincing, and it makes people attached to the character, English people can take a liking to Steve

Tecmo is lazy, full stop, the creator bashes Tekken for not having online or tag team, but what is tag team with boring characters or no plot, what is online if you haven't even bothered to pick the game up because it is so poorly designed.

Where are the evil looking characters in DOA, where are the stylishly dressed characters, where is the chinese monk character, or rebelious fighter, or brute, or the legendary wrestler, everything in DOA is so poor and distasteful, they put so much emphasis into sleek graphics and so many pixels into bouncing boobs as well as pointless modes like slow motion to watch porn in slo mo, that they miss the important things, like realism, not dropping 2 miles off a cliff and surviving, they miss learning curves, everything is so basic in DOA, this button to punch, this to kick, this to counter, this to reverse, why not make reversing moves harder, maybe add a reason to keep playing, why do you think so many people enjoy playing Tekken and showing off thier skills, httas because skills in Tekken get more credit then that of DOA, any newbie can reverse in DOA once they find out, infact, there is really no challenge, you can do the best moves and combos by button bashing, even with button bashing on Tekken, certain moves require a certain sequence of buttons are different times, so it forces you to learn to do something else.

Yoshimitsu for example is one of the best character designs I've seen in a fighter, and all it takes is for Namco to make a pointless spin off for Yoshimitsu and the Manji clan like DOA did for Ryu and give him a few ultimate demons and god like creatures to defeat and hes the best? That prooves nothing. If I wanted an unrealistic demon slaying game, I'd pick up devil may cry, Dante is much cooler then RYU 🙂

Sorry, don't mean to double post, PSP is annoying and won't let me edit without deleting everything I already put up -_-"

I sometimes think that if Tecmo didn't care much for its reputation and was given half a chance, they would scrap guys in the game altogether and just have girls, naked and half naked and call the next game "Playboy Fighter 5".

The game is hardly appealing to a girl gamer let alone appropriate for young kids, are you telling me that if your mother walked in and saw you playing a game with girls running around half naked, she'd smile and walk out?

What aspect of playing DOA is appealing for a female gamer? There are no real guys to talk about, DOA is basically 70% females, 30% males.
