I've read the entire Freeza saga, Cell saga, & Buu saga, nothing Goku has done is impressive enough for him to be on par with Superman. Compared to what Superman has done, Goku's fights are nothing.

First of all, that's a statement from a character who is known to be overconfident and overestimate his own abilities (he thought he could beat Trunks easily). So we can't trust anything he says.

Second of all, he said "We", meaning they would both have to combine their power to do it in one blast.

Third of all, "one blast" still does not preclude the possibility of a chain reaction like the one Frieza used on Namek.
