Btw, Mike already posted the scan a couple times so it's no use in us posting the scan again. Search the pages & find it yourselves.

See this is why you are labeled as a troll. Those scans show nothing of any relevance what so ever, wow he dodged some energy beams, he could be moving as slow as 100mph or he could be moving at one million times light speed there is no way to know how fast he is moving so it is irrelevant..
Your second assumption is correct, Goku FIGHTS, punches, blocks and dodges at Faster than light speeds because...........
Ki IS light!!
Goku CASUALLY dodging BEAMS OF LIGHT!!
Goku wins this easy.
Okay, I think whatever is doing is going "Goku does this, so he obviously wins," rather than "Goku does this, so he HAS A CHANCE." Vice versa with Superman, though from what I've seen, Superman is the superior being here...
As for Super Saiyan = light, it doesn't mean he fights as fast as light travels. It just means he's really bright and glowy...
And those would be beams of energy, not light. Different.
Sarutobi, that's a warning to you. I warned you not to bring that mentality into this thread.

No, it shows that ki IS LIGHT ENERGY (it is stated RIGHT there in the manga) and Goku dodges blocks them all the time!!!!
Freeza's death beam is a BEAM of light, A laser and Goku slaps them away.
Goku FIGHTS at faster than lightspeeds, Superman can't do that.
It doesn't mean they move fast as light. It just means that when you're SSJ you can be you're own flash light because you glow.

Just what is considered impressive.DBZ has high energy output, but the strength of the characters is incredibly low.
Other comics aren't so over the top with energy, and has better strength feats.
Like Wondra lifting a 130-140 ton train engine...

Or Dr Strange?
The point is that as powerful as the DBZ characters are they don't have that high of showing with physical strength.

no shit sherlock. phen again i support what your tryin todo but PROOF dude. that aint proof. heat vision aint light. it just can move faster or slower than it even though its bright. if ya wanna argue provide correct info buddy
Did you read the SCANS that I posted??????
It is stated that Ki is "LIGHT ENERGY!!!"
Did you miss that part in the first scans?
Dodgind "light energy" attacks doesn't require light speed movement.. the X-Men dodge lasers... I guess that means they move at lightspeeds as well... and seeing as how superman is soooo much faster than them ...
Well technically he does move at light speeds as in plural... But seriously, Ki is just given off as photonic energy. Photonic energy when focused as a beam doesn't move at light speeds in fictional mediums... other wise when we see the ki traveling... yeah .. that argument is ridiculous...
