In which you didn't even explain how Silver Surfer could do that without entering microverse and being not clear of where he was. DC proved that he had to exit it in order to get a grib on where the hell he was. So good job... 🥷

To be fair, the speedblitz isn't what killed Magneto. The acid bath transmutation did, at least in my view.

bah....college sucked my internet life away.....Ill try to get on in the dorms as soon as possible.....lucky bastards for right now...

While I'm here I would like to ask Digi what is the idea behind shieldin during prep somemore. Can it as Ill said only be used to say summon one shield per person or can you summon as many shields as one wants. Like stated in our prep

Refer to battle #5.

You're oversimplifying your tactic newjak.

I really don't see how 30 layers of shielding constitutes "generic shielding", which has been an established rule since the onset of this tournament and has also been enforced. Erecting a personal shield is one thing. Erecting 10+ shields layered on top of eachother and doused in spells? 👇 Gasface. It was already covered in battle #5 when there was an attempt at erecting armor, etc. for teammates in prep. It's ok for after combat begins, but you can't come into battle with 25 shields up. That's ridiculous.

As long as it pertains to shielding, there aren't really limits during prep.

And I basically made the shielding rule so that speedblitz-type arguments would be avoiding in the opening seconds of the fight.

Seems pretty clear to me that there aren't any limits on shields

I think that newjak and blair have to watch that what they're doing doesn't filter over into things besides just shielding. But no, there isn't a limit on shielding..."generic" was just a term used to prevent things being created that had multiple function. (i.e. "I'll create a pikeman construct that will be a shield, then he'll attack once the fight starts"😉

2. The only thing combatants can have "operational" coming into the fight is generic shielding. Thus, an offensive or other maneuver must begin after the fight has started. No creating 10,000 illusions/constructs/etc. during prep or anything like that.

****New-ER Rules****
10. Shielding -
A bunch of stuff has come to my attention, like things that only act as shields during prep but then serve another function once the battles starts. To save confusion and hassle, the general rule will be to allow such things. Provided they are not used actively toward another function until the actual battle starts, it will be allowed.

GENERIC SHIELDING.

30 plus shields is not generic shielding.

You guys have bent plenty of rules as is and I've sided in your favor on quite a few occasions because of the essence of the rule. I'm not bending on this one. A similar situation arose in the previous battle and Digimark himself sided with Grey Fox in his objection.

The precedent has been established, and the shielding rule was upheld. 👇

I believe erecting 30 plus shields falls under the

so, for instance, a shield that ALSO serves to help someone fly . . . multiple means more than one, correct. shield+flight=2 or, in other words . . . it can't be done in prep.

None of the rules are firmly set in stone, everything is open to debate if it seems like there are obvious problems with them.... The essence of the rules is to create fair match ups:

We can change the limits or ban people as we see fit to ensure fair battles

We all know that if anyone had asked:

"Can i choose a character with the sole purpose of using him to bring in 5 extra Superman-GLs?"

Every single member of every other team would have said no.... as would all of the judges

Geting 5 slow moving rock creatures OKd is not the same thing as 5 Heralds... and even that took some pruning to fit inside acceptable limits

Is the basic concept of a "fair match up" lost on some of you?

No it is not and I have seen the light.

What is fair though , equality ?

Because (and I don't mean to sound rude) creating hundreds of constructs seems less like debating and more like muscling your way through the tourney 'I cant do it with just three , so let's make it three thousand '

Personally (and I thought of suggesting this before) I'd rather a limit be placed on their power level rather than outright banning. For example, Leo/Kahn has 6 Silver Surfer's with Green Lantern power rings which clearly breaks the sub-Thanos rule. The Daxamites stretch that rule to it's absolute limit.

hey, i've said it before -- we TRIED like HELL to get the stupid things banned a long time ago. khell gave it a small attempt in his match. when we were overruled, we simply decided to fight fire with fire . . . 😬

Well I still don't want them banned. Just limited a little bit more.

Fighting fire with fire is ok. You're fighting a handgun with an F-16.

uh, val they can steal speed and have rings . . . we're not THAT superior . . .

and if we're going to do something, we will damn well do it better. 😉 you all made the bed, kahn and i are just laying it in.
