yep.the morons followed the same path sony took.I hate it when comicbook writers let the outcome of a MOVIE determine what they will do with comicbooks. 😠 first the xmen let the movies make them start giving the characters ALL black clothing,NOW this. 🙄 doesnt really matter to me though, the spiderman comics sucked for me a long time ago when they killed off gwen.

original or unoriginal people would complain either way. "Oh superman returns was trying to be too similar as the originals. Brandon Routh is a copycat."

if supes returns was completely in singer's own ideal image

"wtf, what singer did to superman is like what rattner did to xmen. why is nicholas cage playing superman and why is his costume grey with no cape?"

you know what i mean?

Nope , if they make it in the right way. Surely, superman and superman 2 were great, two of the greatests comic books movies of all time, and thats is a clear reference. But only see an example, chris nolan with batman begins. He forgot the burton/schumacher franchise and restart the saga with his movie, doing a fresh and original point of view with the movie.

In the superman case, the base of the past movies is clearly better than the batman ones, and its more difficult to forget. I mean, Chris Reeve was superman. But i think that Brian Singer could do something more fresh and more original than the movie that he did. The story base is clearly the same that the original, same with luthor plan, same with most of the dialogue, etc.

And liked the x-men movies, but one of the things that i hated from the movies was that all of them was wearing black costumes, like batman. That was pretty stupid.

theres a thread in the superman section really bashing Burton, people saying they were so happy he wasnt allowed to make superman like he was originally going to do. 😄 seems a lot of people are posting there that they agree with us that he should never have been allowed near a batman movie as well. 😄 he makes such horrible casting choices for main characters of films.first he keaton as batman and then if he had been allowed to direct superman,he was going to cast Cage as supes. 😆

he'd have like freakin Johnny Depp and Keaton playing all the lead roles in every one of his movies, just cuz he's 'too shy' to work with other actors/actresses. how pathetic lol
😆

i dont see why he's praised. If i used the same old gothic theme for everymovie i made i dont think i would be praised for being original. It's like you're entertaining a kid, just play the same old 'football in the groin' joke over and over and it probably never gets old. same case with burton: to SOME people atleast...his 'fanboys'.

On the topside, if he directed Spider-man, atleast we mightve gotten a proper looking Green Goblin? 🙄 who knows

I dunno, I guess I'm not really mad because I've come to terms with the fact that no super hero movie is going to be exactly like the comic. That's just me though. I enjoy reading Spider-man and all that stuff, but I like the movies too. My main thing was whether they made Venom look correct in the movie, and it sounds like the apparently did a good job.

well ofcourse we can expect it not to be EXACTLY straight off the pages...even though Sin City managed to do that. The Least they could do was keep the essentials. The Cartridge Webbing changes the way Spider-Man fights...I mean, They don't have to give us a green guy in purple spandex running around. They couldve done an alex ross goblin, the torn/ripped cloak was a good idea, compared to the damn power ranger. Raimi probably thought the Green Ranger was scary(when 'tommy' was the bad guy)

I think ive seen "power ranger goblin" "stacy is gwen , gwen is mj, mj is oj, organic webbing, spiderman isnt funny, doc oc is the nice guy, gay guy WHATEVER", about 400 flippin times in this forum. my two cents: movies are movies, comics are comics take the good with the bad. Neither are absolutly blasphemous , they are tollerable and watchable/readable and most of all enjoyable to the every man. Hey it could be worst, they could have been as bad as catwomen am I right? Batman begins has been my favorite comic book movie ever made. I know enough about batman mythology to know that the movie isnt entirely true to the comics. But its the best they could do in a 2 hour run . And they did a great job in my opinion, even with the changes they made. The same could be said for spiderman movies. thats it 😮‍💨

Ock was the gay guy?? 😱

Now that's a new one. Even the haters couldn't try that one 😄

😆
(this moment mirrors that boondock saints scene for some reason)

"the what man?"

*ahem* the fat man...

So freud was right

(bah i never cared that much for doctor octopus anyway)

people said ock was gay? where did that come from? but seriously, thank you, i been saying that the whole time.

LOL! Nobody said Ock was gay. If they did, I'd love to see their arguement for it, especially since he had a wife.

exactly. but hey, if he didn't have a wife, they probably would have....

We all know the Green Goblin was the gay one:

😛 😄

😆

bravo ock bravo

"come to momma"
ughhhhh * shutters* I cant look at dafoe the same ever since that film, not even Platoon is gonna cut it.

How do you hate Spider-Man for being disloyal, but like X-Men?

I'm curious as to how that works out.

Can anyone imagine how dumb the comic book costumes would have looked in the X-Men movies? Particularly Wolverine and Cyclops.

Just think about it for a second..

That goes for alot of comic book character costumes.

What looks good on paper doesn't always look good on screen.

My point exactly.

Which is why people bagging the X-Men series for not being faithful to the costuming should think twice in my opinion.

i'm not a fan of the movies costumes, being all motor-bike-esque, generic, and black, but i also do not want 'yellow spandex' etc.

What i want to bring up is, "Can they do a better job? Is it possible to make better costumes than the ones used in the x-movies?"
