as far as why he DE-volved after he was killed by imperiex, that is still unclear. check out the doomsday v thanos thread for some interesting theories.
He didn't de-evolve. He evolved sentience, emotions and thoughts and things. The experience was too much for him and superman used that to his advantage to put Doomsday down. But since then, Doomsday has gotten used to being sentient and it doesn't seem to be afflicting him anymore. (He fought the army of Gogs after he got used to it).

Please, I've seen Cyborg do similar feats to characters who have beaten precrisis versions of themselves. Headbutting 2 characters is hardly a feat. Thing is a joke, and prof hulk is not on savages class. Masterson has nearly beaten Thanos on his own while thanos had the gauntlet.

Thanos got knocked back by Spider-man and clawed through by Wolvie...his blast didnt even kill Doom...and yes..Thanos would be held by that same weapon he used on Thor.

actually, i don't think there's a doubt dd would beat ss if ss stood and fought him. his only choice is to stay out of his reach or remove him if he could. he couldn't beat him in the traditional 'ko' sense anyway i can see.
and thanos would be close. thanos has blasts and strength. if that's all he brought to the fight, he'd be screwed too, like darkseid was. if he had a chance to prep and use tech, thanos could win. he might also be able to out-think dd, though the limit of the 'ultimate' dd (the gog one) is not known.
and no, we are not the only ones to think that, not that it would matter much to me if we were . . .
