Near light speed? How many times faster than the speed of light was the Surfer moving if he moved over a light year in a second? You can't even begin to compare the two. And Darkseid was stunned that his ultimate final attack failed. He was pretty much caught unaware, and, according to Squall, that was retconned away to be an avatar of Darkseid.

Doomsday doesn't have the endurance to maintain those speeds, we know his reserves can be depleted. So asking if he can replicate that feat over those distances, for the same amount of people, is a no.

But over a short distance, yes, he can reach those speeds.

Why did DS85 say several light years? Because you haven't read the comic properly. They're a light year from the nearest inhabited planet, but they started out from Earth.

It doesnt have to be people. Let's just say the people that Wally carried, they are now made out of adamantium. Doomsday have to grab these adamantium bodies and carry it to its destination just like Wally did. Can he do it?

Because he doesn't have the speed Force backing him up.

Over shorter distances? Yes. As he is faster than Flash.
