the dark knight is a 2.5 hour-long, non-stop nerd-gasm. everybody was great in the movie, but heath... holy f*ck. the man ate the devil and put white make-up on after scarring its face. heath was dead-on as the joker... the way he talks, the way he walks, his entire demeanor. its as if his only reason for being born was to play the joker, and by God he played the sh!t out of that role. heath left his signature on this movie in a big way.

It won't beat Titanic, but it COULD beat Spider-Man's opening weekend.
Sources say TDK took in 66 million in it's first day alone. What an accomplishment.

I loved that character. Heath did an EXCELLENT job. Every moment The Joker was on the screen was a joy. I actually anticipated moments I got to see The Joker. He was hilarious!
What REALLY pisses me off.....we won't get to see Heath play The Joker again. DAMN!!! 😠 RIP, buddy.
I really really enjoyed this movie. I wanted to see more of the fancy ninja fighting from Batman...but that's really my only complaint.

Kind of on the fence about the ending, it doesnt really open up to any new potential characters like Begins did, and wraps up most of the loose ends. I dont read a lot of Batman comics, but there doesnt seem to be any villains as interesting as Joker and Two Face while still keeping to the realism of Nolan's direction that they could use for a next movie. I hope if they do a 3rd one, they really pull something out of the bag.
I so much love The Dark Knight. Excellent performances all around. I loved the Bat pod. The story was great. Heath Ledger should be nominated. I like the fact that

Yes, it's an OUTSTANDING movie, but it's not God...
I mean, didn't we all say Begins was the best Batman movie ever? And then this came out... It can be topped, and I'm sure Nolan will top it with his next and final Batman film... Cuz that's how he rolls...
Well if you remember Bat Dude I didn't exactly go bananas over Batman Begins. I liked it but I still didn't think it was the best thing ever. And I had my doubts about this movie as many know. But it greatly exceeded my expectations. It'll be a while anyway before I can watch the older Batman movies again, or even some other super hero movies again like Iron Man because to me this movie just pushed the comic book movie genre to the next level, it went beyond that to the point where it felt like something more than just a Batman film.
It's so crazy I feel this way because when I read all the reviews I was like they must be kidding it can't be that good...but it truly is.

Im not sure Nolan can top this with a third film, because a HUGE reason the movie is so good is because of the Joker. No villian they can pull from Batman mythos can do better than Heath did with the Joker.
I know. It's gonna be like SW OT.
First film= Awesome new type, intro to world and characters
Second film= Deeper, darker, explores and changes all major characters.
Third film= teddy bears. 😛
No, it'll probably be Catwoman or Riddler or both, with maybe Scarecrow/Ras/Two face back again to refrence the first/second film.
But it'll have to tie up with things set right, Batman redeemed, and riding off into the night loved again, and on his mission that we know from the comics.
That'll make it the weakest of the trilogy, but still good ala ROTJ.
