As I was saying, Joker gets all the attention, so I say we start a discussion about Lucius Fox...

Does anyone think that he'll be back in the next one? You know, after he pretty much resigned and all that...

I hope so, he was portrayed very well imo.

Well he destroyed the sonar, and as he said as long as it was around he would leave Wayne enterprises, since he destroyed the sonar....i assume he will continue to work for Wayne.

He will, he gave a little grin at the end of the movie when the machine began to destroy itself.

It'll also be awesome to see Michael Caine return as Alfred, he portrayed Alfred very well in both movies.

Lucius will return and continue to head the company. I'm sure he will also create some more gadgets for Batman.

Like a new Batmobile...

I like how Freeman's Fox is "in" on Wayne's other activities and yet reveals nothing, and remains very convincingly coy.

The scene where the lawyer (accountant?) tries to blackmail Fox is gold.

i remember Michael Caine saying he wanted to say the line "dinner is served" in the sequel, but he didn't get to

I'd like to see a new Batmobile to be honest. Something about the same size or maybe a little bigger than the Tumbler but with a completely different design.

Lol that accountant guy was such an idiot. But yeah, that scene was brilliant lol. Morgan Freeman's "I-might-know-Bruce-Wayne-is-Batman-but-I'm-gonna-pretend-I-don't-know" tone is fantastic lol.

"I want $10 million a year for the rest of my life!"

That was a cool scene

I'm hoping the next Batman flick has Batgirl...

Not going to happen. Nolan has pretty much said there will be no Robin's or Batgirl's, and I'm glad. Let Batman have at least one franchise where there's no sidekick.

why does Gordon have a son in this film??

and why is his wife named Barbara??

i don't remember him having a son and i thought his daughter was Barbara

Read Batman: Year One. His first wife was called Barbara and they had a son called James. I'm pretty sure Barbara Gordon was adopted actually. She was Gordon's brother's kid or something (so Gordon's niece).
So Nolan got it right. Technically, he shouldn't have a daughter and James would be a bit younger before he and Barbara divorced, but it's no big deal.

I saw him with 2 children in the film (encounter with two face), and his wife told the son to go play with his sister earlier, i don't remember the wife being called Barbra though.

She certainly was. And I just explained that above. His first wife WAS called Barbara, and the kids were James Jr. and, presumabely, Barbara Gordon (Jr).

no need to get all high and mighty about it, i just don't recall her being called Barbra, i never said she wasn't.

I apologise if I was getting "high and mighty". That wasn't the intent of the post...
I'm fairly certain she was at least credited as Barbara Gordon. 🙂

😛

just to say i don't doubt your claims, i just can't recall her being named such.

I believe you, though I think Agent Ramirez may have called her Barbara towards the end, when she was being threatened by Two Face at the end.
