Poverty numbers are being increasingly skewed in this country. Take away the CEO's of the fortune 1000 companies, who make over 420 times the income of the rank and file worker on average, of which 95% are white males, though they represent less than .000001% of the workforce, and whites make less than Asians, and the income gap between whites and blacks and latinos isn't that much anymore.
Whites consistantly underperform educationally compared to Asians despite comparable access to schools.
The White Male WILL be replaced in the next generation as the top performer in almost every economic field, except athletics, if college attendance and performance are indicators by............................................White and Asian females . That's right, women will probably take over the business world and very probably governments, if indeed governments are even relevant anymore (which is doubtful, corporations pretty much control things even now), in the next 20-30 years as the present day college generation turns 50.
No one is denying racism exists, past or present. But there is no denying behavioral patterns play a big part in where a persons life goes.
The person born in the ghetto can say "woe is me, the man kept me down", and turn to a life of crime/dispair. Or they can work hard and try to make something of their life. I know it is harder for that person, but what's the alternative?
Handouts are not the answer.
