The end of that scene was pretty provocative for a disney movie actually. She actually looked like she was overwhelmed(in a good way) about what she just did to him..and he the same. It takes a second look at least to realise the significance of that scene. It would probably fly right over the kids' heads for sure..Just like that Sword handling sexual refrence earlier on in the film lmao.
yeah..when you put some thought into that scene it makes makes it so much more significant. i agree with you, LovelyOne, by saying they both looked overwhelmed. And also when liz turned her back on him to get off the ship, Jack was looking at her proudly, like 'im not really worried the kraken is coming to eat me, you just came to my side like i knew you would' and i think it made her even more attractive in his eyes. like he was thinking 'wow. she did that? thats great!' yay to jack for thinking on the brightside 🙂. but really, i dont think jack was afraid of death. *big smile; and jumps into the kraken*

Nah theres always more to analyse. I have actually gone back and disagreed on a few things I said previously about Jack/Liz because I have gone back and studied the scenes and their relevance in both films a bit more. I'm probably going to use PotC in my final essay for film studies. hehe

If there was no betrayal that kiss would most definatly mean nothing to him later on. That trick she pulled on him makes Liz different to all the other women he has been with.

liz is totally different from any of the women jack knows. hes watching her slowly turn into a pirate and he is really enjoying it.

The whole "betrayal from a woman" experience might finally teach him to respect women a bit more.... and thus respect LIZ a whole lot more...even more than just a piece of meat. He knows what it feels like now haha

Just because someones interest is analysing films doesnt mean that they have no life, Its their interest. People study it at college like me. People get money for doing it later on in life. Just because its not your interest doesn't mean you have the right to pick on someone who does find it intersting.
I could say you also had nothing better to do for even coming onto a forum to talk about PotC. Its pretty much the same thing we are doing when discussing Liz/Jack. But I wont say anything becuase the movie is interesting to you just like the Jack/Liz/Will triangle is interesting to me and other members here. I respect the fact you find it interesting enough to keep posting on the board. I would become a hypocrite if I picked on you for liking to come on the board.

i like threads. i like being able to get my opinion out there. it makes having a strong opinion more worth it. plus my summer job is so boring, i have lots of free time during the day where i am pretty much getting paid to surf the internet, lol.
so what i am wondering--- are there going to be a bunch of liz/jack extra deleted scenes in the DVD??? like in the first one??? that might make everything a bit clearer??? or even more complicated??? i hope so! 🙂

OR what would be more interesting is if there are alot of lovey dovey will/liz relationship scenes cut from the movie 😎 That would tell us alot about what disney are planning to do. It would show us which relationship they see as more important in the final cut.
But damn i hope there are more of Jack/Liz on there...
I also have one of those jobs where I come home early in the day, so have alot of free time..all my pals are working late into the day 🙁
