Ep.5: Fight on Hoth, Luke vs. Vader, Im your father, Luke and Yoda, Luke getting some power, Sky city - fine balance.
Ep.6: Would probably have been the best if it there has been no Evoks. Very fine start at Jabbas palace, Luke showing more power, Luke and Yoda, Sister Leia, And of course the greatest of all scenes: Luke vs Vader vs Sidious.
Ep.4: Fine balance, again a good start, Ben as the teacher, Darth Vader is great, Solo vs Leia, Space station.
Ep.2: Fine start again, Anakin shows a lot of power, good action, the fight in the arena and a lot of Jedi's in battle, Dooku vs Anakin and Kenobi, Dooku vs. Yoda.
Ep.3: Anakin is one of the best now (a lot better than Kenobi) love when he shows his power, Good fights: Anakin and Kenobi vs. Dooku, Yoda vs. Sidious, Sidious vs. Windu vs. Anakin is not great - but okay - Was Windu better than Sidious or...., Padme was not so good, the fight between Anakin and Kenobi sucked (no way that Kenobi could win the fight - Anakin was to strong), The way Anakin was turned into Vader could have been much better. The Jedi's were to easy killed.
Ep.1 It is a great movie, but the other episodes are just greater. Qui-Gon is great, the finding of Anakin, talk of mediclorian, Darth Maul. Fight: Maul vs Qui-Gon vs Kenobi. Hate Jar Jar Binks.
In order......
1. TESB(BEST Star Wars film PERIOD!!!, Vader, Yoda, and Solo, and Calrissian)
2. ANH(Classic masterpiece, Tarkin, Vader, and Alec Guiness as Kenobi, Han Solo)
3. ROTS(Most action, Mace Windu and Yoda)
4. ROTJ(Vader's redemption and the Emperor also green lightsaber)
5. AOTC(Darth Tyranus and big Jedi battle, arguably most visually stunning)
6. TPM(Darth Maul and Qui Gon Jinn)
Don't get me wrong all of them are masterpieces in cinema, but the ones with Darth Vader are just cool. If there's one that should be redone it's ROTJ.
Originally posted by queeqAOTC isn't that bad really, just isn't better than some of the others. Apart from the potrayal of Anakin by Hayden Christensen in this film, I like it.
The top three varies a bit... but it's rather clear what the general three best SW movies are, and what the worst. All we need to agree on now is that ESB is the best and AOTC the worst. 😉

I would say it is either Ep. 1 or 2...still not 100% on it.
I disliked TPM more than AOTC until ROTS came out. Then I noticed how obsolete and pointless AOTC really is. TPM seemd to hold a lot more plot points relevant to the story and its progression than AOTC did. Ever since ROTS came out I keep wondering: why the heck was AOTC made??? WHYYYYY???!!
Well, I'll throw my 2 cents in. Then you can all flame me and tell me what a moron I am, and I won't really care, but whatever...
1. Revenge of the Sith (The darkest of them all, great action)
2. Attack of the Clones (Probably one of the worst SW films, yet somehow it's fun to watch. Plus who couldn't love Dooku?)
3. A New Hope (Entertaining from Start To Finish
4. Phantom Menace: Great fun, a little draggy at times, but I was in
the 4th grade. I loved it as a kid, and that kid inside of me always has a place in my heart.
5. Empire Strikes Back: The most mature, best written and developed movie of the 6. And you know what, that's what bothers me about it, because to me it wasn't that fun to watch. The second half is great, but I've never cared much for the hour wasted on Hoth.
6. Return of the Jedi: Damn ewoks.
Now, before you all kill me for putting ESB as 5th, just remember a few things- there are some people that are normal, and like ESB the best. There are other people, like me, who aren't normal, and put AOTC 3 places higher then the best developed film. I don't care. I grade SW differently than most people, on fun-factor, (to me) and I just find the prequels for the most part fun to watch. Are they necessarily better? NOPE. But to me, more fun.
Fair enough. Still strange that you grade AOTC so high and ROTJ so low though. Ewoks are ubercorny, guess that should add to your sense of fun...

Yeah, I see what you mean. But even still, no matter how bad it may be, it is still needed.
No, only a few plot points are needed. In fact, only one: Anakin falls in love with Padme and maybe the death of his mother.
