My team is mainly based on potential. Peyton is always pretty solid, so as long as his injury doesn't bother him, I will be set there. I also have Larry Johnson and Javon Walker. Johnson sucked last year but can still be great. Walker was injured most of the season, but he's now the number one wideout for new starter Jamarcus Russell. Plus, I'm hoping Dallas' D will get a lot of interceptions with their killer secondary.

I'm drawing an awkward blank here...who's AD? Andre Davis????

yea i still prefer to use his actual nickname of All Day (AD) rather then just the shortening of his name.

If by killer you mean "kill themselves by allowing long field bombs" sure. I would strongly recommend a different D.

Yeah, drafting Shaun Alexander last year in the first round.....

That was bad.

Shut up you.

Adrian Peterson's nickname is All Day.

I still think that is such a dumb nickname. Where did that even come from?

Is that All Day Breakfast?

Or All Day Creamed Latte's?

(Idiocracy reference for the win)

Dallas D has a chance for alot of points based on the amount of sacks they could produce and INT's, not including Adam Jones as a punt returner which could mean a few TD's.

They should keep teams in the 20-30 for good offense teams, and 10-20 for bad offense teams.

A few long bombs wont hurt their value as a fantasy option.

direct quote from peterson

"I've been hearing that since I was two. I ran around all the time. Never wanted to stop. Never wanted to sleep. I just kept going all day. My dad and mom gave me the nickname. When I started playing ball, my coaches said the same thing about how I played, that I could go all day. "

Thanks for the find. I would hate that nickname if I were him. It just sounds so...I don't know...plain and unsports-like. Even Sweetness was a better nickname than that.

think of it like hes gonna run on the defense "All Day" long because he cant be stopped. I think it actually has more sports relevance than a lot of nick names do.

The nickname Sweetness is awesome.

Playing the first Madden on my Tandy 1000, Sweetness was unstoppable. Same with Terry B.

Yes!

All Day? I'm assuming that means between the hours of 1PM and 7PM, because All Night last Saturday, he ran either sideways or into a brick wall.

Yes, like an all day kwiki mart. Always open during the day, but when you need that shitty as chips at 11pm, those bitches are closed.

Somebody picked up Kurt Warner. Leinart SUCKS. Completely my own fault, so I'll take the blame. I knew the Sultan of Stubble was better (he actually helped me a bunch last year), but figured the Cardinals were too stubborn not to give Matt another chance.

Here's to Eli having a great year. My backup situation is bleak.

I'm happy with my QB set. Anderson and Gerrard.

Really?!

Ok then. Garrard's a good QB. But never been a good fantasy QB. Big difference. I'd almost rather have my #3 (JaMarcus), who will likely be the opposite. Mediocre young NFL QB, but between his arm and his legs, will likely be a serviceable fantasy QB. You better hope Anderson doesn't buckle under the "Brady" chants in Cleveland (they want him badly).

Gerrard had 200 fantasy points last year in our league and thats missing three games and being shoved in starters role just before the season started.

Now its his second year, the Jags are a better team last year and his WR's are the same as the last year, but could be better if Porter does well.

In the end, Im looking at 220 fantasy points this year from my backup QB. Not too shabby.

Anderson on the other hand, I'm not sure about but I'm looking for him to have a decent year, or decent half year. With LT, Wayne, Johnson as my core guys, Im not to worried about having an non elite QB. But in reality, it was impossible to have one when the top 3 QB's got taken up in the first round, or just after the first round.

Looking at last year, Gerrard had 2 less points than Eli Manning with the three less games.

Hell, consider my logic pwned.

I have Ben in my one money league, so I'm secure. Eli's my backup there, which is what he should be (hence, my trepidation over starting him in our league).

We haven't drafted in the other one. Maybe I won't look past Garrard so quickly.

I think he's a good pickup in a league that's different the KMC on where there wasnt alot of people who picked, and autodrafters started getting a ton of QB's, but if you have an early pick in the first round and you miss out on the top 5 QB's, than Gerrard could be serviceable. Heck, he only had 3 INT's last year.
