Oh ok, anyway ive read the Captain America capability thread.

As far as im concerned classic spidey vs cap = cap wins 5/10 or even 6/10

Cap versus Iron Spidey if Spidey uses invisibility= cap loses 10/10

If Spidey doe not use invisibility this is PIS, but if he does not Cap vs Iron Spidey = cap wins 3/10

I have read the Captain America capability thread and basically it speaks for itself

While I am very happy that you read the Captain America Respect thread, I reccomend you take a good hour or two out of your day and traverse the Spider-Man respect thread. Try to check out just about every scan there. And then come back and we'll talk.

Perhaps Alfheim has or has not read the Spider-man respect thread. I don't see how that in and of itself really applies to this discussion. I, myself, have read it through and through. I've debated on Parker's side numerous times, even when many claimed he was outmatched (imagine a thread like this, except with Spider-man being the under dog 😉 ). However, I still see a pre-upgraded Spiderman losing to Captain America five outta ten times. And even with the suit, still three out of ten times.

But, I suppose you were talking to Alfheim, and not to everyone. So perhaps me calling you on the "Go read Spidey's thread" wasn't appropriate, since it wasn't directed at me.

Eh, either way. 😄.

That's the problem with respect threads : it gives the false impression the character is almost unbeatable, because a lot of PIS and CIS is thrown in there.

And the low showings are of course ignored.

(this goes for all respect threads of course, except that of Spider-Man : everything is true...)

*laughs*

Nice save at the end there, 😉.

I dont see what thats going to do if you look at the Captain thread there are lots of examples of him fighting people on Spidermans level and Spiderman himself, if thats not enough proof that CA can win I dont know what is.

Metalmanx you just pick what pics you like and disregard everything else and im not even saying that Cap will win all the time. I already said if Iron Spidey puts on invisbility mode Cap will lose.

Its like people wont be satisfied until you say CA is a punk ***** and he will lose <<<horribly<<<< all the time.

Im aware of that but people only want to pick the ones they like.

People on Spider-Mans level ? Such as ?

And Spider-Man also beats people that are stronger or better or whatever than Cap and Spidey combined.

Don't get me wrong, I know you're a cool debater, and I have no problem at all with giving CA a few wins. I don't underestimate him.

But seriously, the fight in ASM 534, that was stupid. Spider-Man was almost worshipping him (Can't fight him, not him, oh no, is it right to fight him...?)

We can say a lot about that fight, but not that SM was going all out and was fighting to the best of his abilities.

who-kid.....I admit him not using invisibility mode is silly, but if your still using the he was holding back line...damn. Look, Capatin America has fought people on Spidermans level who were trying to kill him and they were not holding back. Ok that answers that.

Like spidey has used his invisibility vs. Dr. Octopus or god i forgot the robot guy... or anyone else he's fought lately. It may be CIS for spiderman to not use his invisibility, but in almost every comic to date, he doesn't use it efficiently. So a spiderman out of character turns on the invisibility and fights cap with it could be true. But even in his own comics he doesn't use the invisibility even a fraction of the times you would suggest.

Yeah, Spider-Man was really in blood lust mode 😉

Ok who-kid do you want to read what I said again? If thats the reply you have given me it simply means you have not read what I said properly.

Its like everytime we cap fans post something people always take what they want and disregard everything else, instead of evaluating and assimilating everything we say, as a result we just keep going around in circles.

Maybe it wasn't that clear ?

Isn't that part of the fun of debating ?

Most people who contribute in these vs threads, already have made their mind up about the possible winner. It's uncommon that they will change their opinion after having read a convincing post of another member.

So it's unavoidable that we keep going around in circles.

Back to topic : I already said Cap could win a few fights. But any Spider-Man incarnation will take the majority.

Right.

Ok i'll take that. Dammit man when are they gonna give Cap an upgrade. The thing is when a superhero gets more powerful he rarely stays that way. Remember Super Spidey.

Yep. Cosmic Spidey, I believe.

I was against the Spider-Man upgrade. He was fine the way he was, and I liked the fact he was one of the few characters whose powers have been the same for more than 40 years.

Luckily, his upgrade doesn't make a lot difference. I really like his new costume though. It's really cool and stylish at the same time.

An upgrade for CA ? Maybe. Since everybody is getting stronger, he should also get an upgrade.

Except Spidey's new powers are more likely to be permanent. Somehow, you can always sense if a change is going to last or not. The more emphasis being placed on a certain character arc, the more permanent the change.

Or so it seems.
