I just read ASM #534 (barely 5 minutes ago) .... dumb fight... very dumb
Spidey has been taking punches from guys like Tombstone for years and bouncing right back... now he has a metal mesh bulletproof suit.... and cap punching him in the side/back seems to hurt more than a tail smash from the Lizard?

Dumb!
A tail smash covers much more surface area, thus, less pressure, thus, less pain.
Also, I highly doubt that the Lizard very often makes use of precise nerve center strikes when he whips his tail at peter.
The hulk has shown pain to nerve strikes. Hell, the JUGGERNAUT has shown to be suceptible to nerve strikes. Why not Pete?

Don't get me wrong, I understand that nerve strikes can cause a lot of damage, but I don't agree with your comparison. Especially considering Spider-Man's durability and massive amount of damage/pain he's taken over the years.
Lizard tail smash > Cap nerve strike.
Basically any of Rhino's attacks>>Cap nerve strike.
Anything Morlun did to Spidey >>> Cap nerve strike.

I never said he didn't. I believe you're misunderstanding my point. I was countering Soljer's argument is all. I never took anything away from Cap. I know he can dish out pain/damage. But comparing his nerve strikes to things like the Lizard's tail smash is just absurd.

yeah....uknow its funny, that no matter how many times cap does it its Hyperbole...but a feat is a feat, then he whails on Spidey TWICE in a course of 2 days, that tells me that everyone should reconsider how strong cap is.

It's a feat. There's no denying that. I would agree that it would be better for Marvel to just make Captain superhuman. But as long as he isn't, all of his major feats should be ignored in hypothetical battles.

Feats should be ignored if they are PIS. You can't go by the feats of characters who are said to be merely human and act accordingly most of the time, yet sometimes perform vastly superhuman feats for the sake of the plot or just coolness. These fights are supposed to be realistic and based on their inherent abilities. Some people believe that Captain dodging bullets on a daily base is inherent to his character, but how can that be? He's human! I'm sure not even peak humans can see bullets coming.
