Paying someone to burn a CD off the internet.....

The very original genre is dead. There ARE still bands that make music close enough to that and are considered applicable to the original definition. Just not original.
How literal of you. Next time, be clearer so I don't believe I caught you contradicting yourself.

Literally, yes, their definitions "exist", but they are not correct, nor are they credible.
For someone as literal as you, you choose to deny the 'correctness' of a second definition for Emo that Bardock so aptly described above me?

Being someone who isn't even a fan of music, your position on the subject is highly dubious.

Being a fan doesn't change your knowledge, only your general bias. You'd think you would know that.

what is the rule of thumb here? how much should one charge you for this? is it per song or per CD?

I generally pay 5€ if the dude really wants payment, else I'll just give him a blank CD or DVD and it's always per CD or DVD

One might want to trade a service for a burnt CD, rather than cash. For instance; a back massage, or a washing of one's car or motorbike.

Yes, because it's not correct, is it? It's labelling a fashion. Why? Because of the MUSIC those people listen to, falsely called emo. So vicariously, the label is wrong.

Labelling a fashion as a music genre is stupid. It exists, I accept that, but it's wrong. Even worse is labelling someone as emo because they're sad or acting sad, why? "Short for emotional!" So? Why is someone not emo if they're happy? It's emotion too. Hence why it's stupid and so is anyone using it.

I appreciate music, you're not a fan of it. There's a clear difference. As a result of being a fan, I've increased knowledge on music than you do.

Which is exactly what does make the difference; me simply knowing more than you do on the subject, thus having a more credible opinion.

Yes. Even John Lydon will tell you the same.

Punk wasn't about a mohawk or a piercing, it was about music. The Clash proved that.
