Well, it's kind of a necessity.
Except if you feel like saying that evil is in the eye of the beholder. I'd be fine with that.

as the meaning of evil is in the eye of the beholder. dont assume that people who say "evil" adhere to the u.s. president's meaning of "evil" (other mob bosses who refuse to 'play ball'😉 its subjective but you cannot deny its very existance, only that there is no fact on or pertaining to evil.
that does not mean that there is in fact no evil. thats a poor leap.

.....okay.....just to be clear...by the very definition of evil. For there to be absolute evil (which ultimately is what one is claiming when they say "Hitler is evil) there have to be absolute morals. That is in fact...a fact. Undeniable.

but i dont believe there is an absolute to human logic, and thus evil. i dont see hitler as "THE ULTIMATE EVIL". i just think he had an evil mentallity. by such i mean that he caused pain, suffering, and death to millions of people without a care and only for personal gain in his quest to feel like god recreating the world, enjoying the carefully selected casualties. i think such a mentality is evil in its purest sense. however there have been very many other brutal killers throughout human history. he's no anomoly in terms of evil, but rather combined with legendary charisma and ability to rally the common citizens. with that said, i define a person by their conscious mentality. i believe hitler was, as a conscious human being, evil. although i know its not fact i am certain of it. doesnt mean i would demand your to be as well

Hey, I am totally fine with your believe in that. I disagree, but if it is subjective to you that is okay. But all that you said does imlply that there has to be an absolute moral code that states that causing "pain, suffering, and death to millions of people without a care and only for personal gain in [a] quest to feel like god rectreating the world, enjoying the carefully selected casualties" is evil. That is what you are saying by that.

yes, there is a base, one which is not dictated or put into law. just vast majorty morality. rather than 50% if a population dictating something on the other 50, or even 90% of the population dictating law onto the other 10. its not a set code, but rather a general and primal feeling. this is the foundation of law. people universally determine that killing someone over nothing is wrong (i believe their is no justification at all, but anyway.....) of coarse, throughout history many create a justification, whether it be religion, nationalism, belief in lesser humans, the hypocrisy of the death penalty, labeling the enemy as "evil", etc. the core belief however is and always was universally agreed upon.
:edit: point is "evil" is what goes against that hardwired thought. so yes i believe that anyone who has ever killed has done evil. i dont, however think that everyone who has ever killed is evil.
