Sorry.
he no longer writes them, however, and thus his "word" can be made moot by any other writer who comes along. that is the nature of comic books. that is what retcons are made of. that is why continuity can be changed, or modified, or altered, or enhanced or any other synonym, based on the current writer.
a claremont obsession on your part doesn't change the fact that morrison changed the nature of the phoenix force into a multiversal entity who employs an entire corps of avatars, all of which possess the full power of the phoenix. infinity divided by anything is still infinity, after all. the phoenix exists as a concept beyond human comprehension, as has been made clear throughout recent continuity [especially in reference to the white hot room,] and is more powerful than storm could hope to be. until that gets changed within a comic, that's how it stands.
comics are not static. they change all the time. just because joe kelly [conveniently, his name is my name too] established deadpool's backstory as having stolen wade wilson's life and identity doesn't mean nicieza's more recent backstory in which that is NOT the case is false. that's how these things go. the more recent stories become established, and retcon contradictory older stories.
and until storm is put back onto the phoenix's level, she is not there. until someone decides "hey, claremont had a good idea. i'll put that in print," it is not canon. you can suck your thumb and toot your horn all you want, but you're not changing those facts.
