I like where this is going. But what exactly is Kate up to? She's confusing. The character, not the person. The person is kickass.
Will: Kate!
Kate: Oh (frustrated. This isn't the right time) Will. I was just out here taking a walk.
Will: I've been looking for you. I know I sometimes seem cold, and sometimes, well, all the time, I'm a very flawed person...
Kate: I find you to be an exceptional governor.
Will: Well, if you would like to be courted by me, and don't mind if it's really slow...
Kate: No
Will: No? But I thought
Kate (knowing this will hurt him now): It's better we don't get involved, Will. It will be much safer for you to stay away from me.
Jack: Kate! You can't just run off when you're about to ask a favor. Will.
Will: Jack. This isn't the best time.
Jack: For you either if you stick around long enough to hear this woman out. You wanted my services?
Kate: Dumas is here-with Davy Jones
(pause)
Jack: Turner
Will: Yes?
Jack: Shoot her.
Kate: Wait! I didn't bring them here. They found me. I needed to tell you.
Will: Whose side are you on?
Kate: Both of yours, I swear!
Liz wakes up and chooses this time to spy.
Liz: Abi, you're still up.
Abi: Oh, Elizabeth. I was just getting some night air.
Liz: Have you seen Kate or Jacky?
Abi: No. After I said goodnight to Father I haven't seen anybody.
Liz: I wanted to talk to all of you, mainly about Will (being sneaky)
Abi: About Will?
Liz: What do you think of him?
Abi: Well, Elizabeth, without insulting him, I would say you're fairing much better with Captain Jack.
Liz (laughs): I know that. We're to be married once this ordeal is all over. But I can't help feeling sorry for Will. He is my friend.
Abi: I would like to consider him one as well, but nothing more. I don't have time to be worrying about men.
Jacky: Men?
Liz: There you are. We were just talking about Will.
Jacky: More competition. Wonderful.
Abi: Not from our end. Elizabeth is engaged and I'm unattached.
Jacky: Then it's just Kate I need to worry about.
Liz: You have feelings for Will?
Jacky: Only slightly, dear. I'm afraid Kate is much more lovestruck than myself. You can see it when she looks at him. Besides, she's known him longer. I don't stand a chance.
Abi: You could always go for Father
(there is a very awkward and somewhat disgusted pause)
Liz: Does anyone here know much about Kate?
Jacky: Only she cannot marry.
Liz: Cannot marry?
Jacky: It's long been a legend that there will be a female pirate, matching Kate's description perfectly, who made a deal with Davy Jones that instead of joining his crew, he would let her live, and under the condition she never married, he would ask only one favor of her.
Abi: What favor might Davy Jones ask Kate? How to get to Will and the rest of us?
Liz: What, Mr. Gibbs? What?
Gibbs: Think, lass! What would Davy Jones want from her?
Jacky: He wants Jack? Of all the things in the world?
Gibbs: Nothing consumes a man like revenge.
Abi: Where are they? Has anyone seen any of them?
Liz: You all stay here and watch the ship. Something tells me we'll have to make a getaway.
Jack: Enough. (pulls out his gun) You're going to talk, Kate, and you're going to tell us everything.
Kate: I was never going to sell you out! Don't shoot me!
Will: Don't shoot her, Jack.
Jack: You have to say more than that.
Kate: Davy Jones spared my life once saying that I could never marry and that I had to perform one favor for him. He's calling it in and wants you.
Jack: And you tried to flatter me. (cocks the gun)
Kate: No! I was going to tell you to go in the opposite direction so we could disappear. Dumas isn't at Port Royal now so Will could go back and remove him and then neither of them would have any power. The important thing is that you're away from here.
Liz (running to meet them): Jack! Jack! Davy Jones is on this island!
Jack: We know (still pointing the gun at Kate)
Liz: Oh. Shouldn't we be leaving?
Jack: As soon as we have one less crew member.
Will: Jack! She told you the truth. She never meant to give you over. We need to go now.
Jack: Fine! Everyone working against me! But she's in your care now, dear William. If I even suspect her of any wrongdoing towards anyone on the Pearl, I'll shoot you both.
They start running back to the Pearl
Jack: Gibbs! Giiibbbbbbsssss!
Gibbs: What?
Jack: Cast off! (Will, Kate, and Liz close behind him)
Gibbs: We was right, wasn't we? Davy Jones is here!
Will: Stop acting so happy about it! (climbing in) You (to Kate) you're staying with me.
Jacky: Even more odds in her favor...
Abi: Why aren't we casting off?
Norrington (finally up): There's something under there blocking us!
Abi: Shit
(everyone looks at her)
Davy: Jack Sparrow!
Jack: We'll have to do this the hard way. William, you have the traitor in your care. Lizzie, Mr. Gibbs, Commodore, and the foul mouth with me. Jacky, stay with Will. He's not known for being able to handle things on his own.
(they get ready to fight whatever comes their way)
Alex: What's going on?
(Jack throws him a sword)
Alex: I like!
Abi: Where is [voodoo man]?
Liz: He just disappeared!
Jack: Worry about it later, ladies.
