Liz: Jack, he's after you. If you leave now, it'll give you a chance at escape.
Jack: And leave you to fight the fish all by your onesy? I don't think so, love.
Davy Jones approaches. He is alone, with no visible weapon. The crew looks at each other, confused.
Jones: Not a very warm welcome for an old friend.
Jack: So you still consider us friends then?
Jones: Yes of course. I hate to kill my friends, but I'm afraid that's what this has come to. Where be Kate?
Jack: Here (shoves her forward) You want her?
Jones: (grabbing Kate's arm) Ah... didn't quite fulfill your bargain, did ye missy? No talking your way out of it, this time. You know what a breach in the bargain means.
Jack: I hate to interrupt this ever-so-pleasant conversation, but if all you want is the girl, then i think the rest of us will just be on our way...
At this moment, Kate suddenly pulls Jack forward and holds a gun to his head.
Jack: Oh...
Liz: No!
Kate: No one move. Allright Jones, here he is. I'm fulfilling my bargain...
In a moment of extreme drama, Kate grabs Jack and kisses him, and then points the gun and shoots Jack in the head. Jack falls to the ground. Elizabeth screams and throws herself on Jack, while Kate slowly backs away. A Long moment of silence follows, where only the muffled sound of Elizabeth's sobbing can be heard.
Davy Jones exhales a long sigh.
Jones: (softly) My love, you are avenged.
Kate: Now go. You promised the rest of the crew would be safe.
Jones: I did. I'll stay true to my word. (to the crew) I'll trouble you no longer, on my word. (His breathing is labored. He turns and begins to walk toward his ship.)
Will: (savagely) Wait! (he grabs Kate and thrusts her at Jones) Take your servant with you. She'll be shot if you leave her here.
Jones: Very well. Though I can't promise she'll live either way. (grins wickedly. Kate is looking at Will intently, tears streaming down her face.)
Will: Take her and go. You've done your worst. (He turns his back on Kate. Jones leads her away brutally)
The crew all kneel down by fallen Jack... and suddenly, Jack rolls over and sits up! He rubs his head and looks around.
Jack: What happened?
Everyone is in shock, most of all Elizabeth, who throws her arms around Jack. Jack starts laughing.
Jack: You all look like you've seen ghosts.
Will: Damn you Jack Sparrow! Do you never die?
Gibbs: Kate shot you... you don't remember that?
Jack: Oh yes... I knew she tasted funny when she kissed me. It was the vial... she probably stole it from me. She had it in her mouth...
Liz: So... so you were immortal when she shot you? She knew you wouldn't die?
Jack: Something like that, love. That was a close call though!
Gibbs: (shaking his head) I can't keep up with these happenings. Jack, it does make me feel a site better that you're immortal for the time being. I think this calls for rum.
So the crew gathers together aboard the Pearl, and breaks out the rum. It'd been a long day.
Aby: I just don't understand... one minute he was here, the next minute he was gone.
Will: Perhaps he was spying on us.
Jack: You're paranoid, mate.
Will: Am I?
Liz: I;m going to become paranoid if you keep almost dying, Jack.
Jack: Would you miss me?
In response, she jumps into his arms and kisses him passionately.
Liz: Do you really think Jones will leave us alone, now?
Jack: If Kate's got her head together, she'll shoot him too and take care of that problem.
Gibbs: But there's still Dumas to wonder about.
Will: How big of a threat can he be, though? Without Jones he's just a man who's unhappy.
Jackie: Not exactly. I took the liberty of doing some research on him, and apparantly, he's related to the king of Spain. His son, or something.
Jack: Bugger. When did we become enemies?
Jackie: Well, he was formally disinherited by his father the King when he fell in love with a girl outside his class. But his father still wanted to make sure he was safe, so he pulled some strings with the King of England and put him in a position as assistant governor in Port Royal. But as you can imagine, that didn't suit Dumas very well. He's a prideful one, and he still thinks he'll be king of Spain one day.
Everyone looks at each other: thats a lot of information to take in while drinking.
Cut back to Davy's ship. Dumas is waiting for them
Dumas: How did it go?
JOnes: I have me vengence. I can die in peace.
Kate: Glad to hear it.
Casually, she pulls her pistol back out and shoots Davy in the heart. Dumas springs to his feet and catches Jones, and then lays him out on the deck, dead.
Dumas: Well I can't say I was expecting that.
Kate: His time had come.
Dumas: Is precious William safe?
Kate gives him a dark look, then stalks over to the helm and begins shouting out orders to the crewmen.
Suddenly, Alex walks out of Dumas' cabin and onto the deck.
Kate: Alex! What are you doing here?
Dumas: Alex! I told you to stay in the cabin.
Kate: Wait... you two know each other?
Alex: (grinning) You might say that...
Cut back to the Pearl
Gibbs: So, what does Dumas have against US?
Jackie: It's complicated. He wants Will to be publically disgraced so He can be promoted to governor, he wants to prove to his father that he can take out the most notorious pirates in the caribbean, he wants the treasure that is STILL buried in Port Royal from all those years ago when Jones and Jack buried it, AND i think, most of all, he wants to marry Kate.
Will: In that case, I have a plan.
Still on the pearl:
Jack: What's your plan, mate?
Will: It's simple. I;m going back to Jones' ship, I'm going to seduce the wench, and bring her back here. Then we are going to sail to Port Royal and barter Kate to Dumas in exchange for his loyalty to me and his assurance that he will not harm any pirates in the caribbean. Savvy?
Jack: Did you just say savvy???!
Will: (somewhat surprised) I think so....
Everyone starts laughing.
Jack: Well, i think its a good plan!
Cut to Will, sneaking onto Jones' ship. Dumas is at the helm. Will finds the main cabin and slips in.
Kate is lying on a bunk, staring out the window at the sea.
Will: Kate... it's Will.
She jumps up, and then relaxes as he sits down next to her.
Will: That was brave... what you did to Jack.
Kate: He was allright, wasn't he? The potion from the vial worked?
Will: Jack's alive as ever.
Kate: I'm sorry I lied to you.
Will stands up, and tries to get a hold of himself... she's a better liar than he thought she would be.
Will: I wanted to apologize for my behavior. Will you come back to the Pearl with me?
Kate: Why should I? I haven't exactly made too many friends there. Elizabeth for one probably hates me.
Will: It doesn't matter. (he sits down next to her again and tries to remember how Jack goes about seducing women. He slides his hand onto her leg and looks deep into her eyes) I want you to come back... with me... I want to finish that kiss we started in the forest.
Kate: (suddenly fearful and shy) Do you mean it?
Will: I do.. very much. (He leans in and kisses her softly.) I've been a fool. Just come with me, come away. I'll give you everything you've ever dreamed of... a home and wealth and love...
Kate: It sounds too good to be true...
Will: You don't always have to fight, Kate. (he is whispering in her ear, very seductive) I love you. I want you with me.
Kate: I can't say no to you, Will... You're my weakness. (smiles briefly) Let's go then!
She leads the way out, and Will mutters under his breath "first part of the plan accomplished"...
