Ok let's look at the facts.
Darksied said in the Emporer Joker saga that the joker had found power like the ALE. (not knowing the full power of the ALE)
Mxy has been shown on panel to wipe the multiverse clean and restart it.
Later on, Darksied stated that he only need a fraction of the ALE for his wildest dreams. Which has been previously stated as having the power of MXy.
It is then stated that the ALE is exceedingly more powerful than Darkseid had realized. Meaning the ALE far exceeds what darksied thought was ALE like power in mxy.
Since Mxy's power can turn the DCU upside down in the hands of the joker who didn't know how to use it to it's fullest, and in the hands of mxy can wipe the multiverse clean, it is by reason that The ALE is vastly omnipotent over Mxy. And the joker with mxy's power was able to do everything the magus did with the IG. this would mean that the ALE is vastly more powerful than The IG. The ALE also exist outside of the reality that is the DCU just like the pre retconned beyonder.

the ale did everything that magus did with the INCOMPLETE ig.
yes the ig is a part of reality, but the wearer can exclude themselves from reality if they so choose.

yea, the ig and ale are pretty much equal in potential in my book...
maybe one was used to do more than the other, but that doesn't necessarily mean that one is more powerful. darkseid wanted mxy's power, and thanos wanted death's love. it all depends on what they were using it for.
as for the limit of the two items's potentials i think they are relatively equal, like i said before. aside, of course fromt he fact that the ale can become an entity and act alone.

No. The ALE did no such thing. The joker did this to the universe with mxy's powers, not even knowing how to use them. And darksied said it was like the ale. But then he found out that the ale was far more powerful than he realized. he said only a fraction of the ale's power was needed for him to get his dreams realized.which is like myx's power. so that means that the true ALE is VASTLY more powerful than what darksied percieved as the ale, which was mxy's powers.

he was trying to say that the UN was shown to be able to affect the multiverse, and that it could not stop the IG. basically making a direct correlation to your argument but from the MU as opposed to the DCU.
just more proof that the ale is the dc equivalent to the ig.
