yea, the ig and ale are pretty much equal in potential in my book...maybe one was used to do more than the other, but that doesn't necessarily mean that one is more powerful. darkseid wanted mxy's power, and thanos wanted death's love. it all depends on what they were using it for.
as for the limit of the two items's potentials i think they are relatively equal, like i said before. aside, of course fromt he fact that the ale can become an entity and act alone.
