Astonishing X-Men

It was good as usual. I have to agree with some critics who've noted the pacing is a bit slow; but on the whole clever writing, good art. Still enamored with Whedon and Cassaday.

Did anybody pick up issue #23?

cyclops is the coolest mother****er i comics under whedon's pen. everyone should write cyclops like whedon.

i've never had this with a comic before... you wait and wait, and get so angry at how late it is, and then you finally read it and realise how f*cking worth the wait it was...

excellent issue, and the finale should be a cracker...

also, it seems that cyclops is finally in vogue... no more having to defend him... thank f*ck for that...

and imo, the fact that everything in the issue was all part of his plan, means imo that he's pushing cap as best leader in marvel...

Wow its been so long...and i agree worth the wait!

I hope they keep cyclops optic blast under control, and keep the visor for the times when his enemies will take it off thinking he cant control them and WHAM!

Am i correct that his eyes are open and he looks to be in control of his optic blast

He still looks funny without it.

I'm liking Tan's visor design, except the fact it sort of floated around his face from page to page.

That bugged me.

Either way, Scott's a hundred times cooler than he was this time five years ago.

i think he's refering to a mistake in the dialogue where kitty is supposed to say "yeah, hilarious me; i THOUGHT you might actually feel some kind of loss." what is said is "yeah, hilarious me; i THOUGH you might actually feel some kind of loss."

personly think it is really over rated the story is muy in my opinion.

I think people like it so much becuase of all the cyclopes wanking

yes, because cyclops was so popular beforehand... please.

its not wanking, AT ALL. he hasn't even done much in the last few issues, and everything he has done has been well within his capabilities.

and whedon is probably the best x writer since morrison imo...

you don't have to be popular to be wanked on or do things out side your ability.

cyclopes is the man focus of the issues most of them. Not saying it a bad thing, but honestly the stories are overrated. I never thought any of the issues were that amazing at all. sure cyclopes is written cool, that does not make it an amazing issue.

............whedon may be the best writter for certain characters certainly not all of them.

I liked a lot of other x-men runs a lot better.

I think the recent story has been meh nothing overly good. only thing I thought was cool was that scot had planned his whole death.

also I liked cyclopes better after he was apoc thing. He was bad ass then as well, but in my opinion he was more bad ass and cooler.
