cyclopes is the man focus of the issues most of them. Not saying it a bad thing, but honestly the stories are overrated. I never thought any of the issues were that amazing at all. sure cyclopes is written cool, that does not make it an amazing issue.

shadowcat, emma and colossus have had easily more focus than cyclops during the run, especially shadowcat...

............whedon may be the best writter for certain characters certainly not all of them.

I liked a lot of other x-men runs a lot better.

I think the recent story has been meh nothing overly good. only thing I thought was cool was that scot had planned his whole death.

astonishing x-men has pretty much walked all over any other x-men book for a while now... the only problems ive had with it are its long waits between issues (obviously), and whedon can sometimes be a bit slow...

but they're still quality comics imo...

thimble, are you just miffed that Whedon isn't wanking Logan enough...you know the runt has his own series for that

I could careless about Logan little girl thing, to tell you the truth I forgott about that.

it true astonishing has been the best x-men book out there recently. x-men has been crap recently. astonishing is good and even in a different era they be consider good, but I think there overrated and xmostly due to the fact, the other x-men stories have been pritty awful.

Its a pretty good series. My only problem is I don't really care for the characters from the breakworld.

thought lockheed being an alien and no one knowing it was dumb...........though lockheed kinda dumb idea anys ways lol.

i think this is a pretty great run, certainly alot better than most other x-men stories for a good while now. even though i'm not much of a wolverine fan, i still prefer that he's in the book. wolvie and cyke play off each other well, which usually makes for a good story imo.

meh. I think there interactions in this series is meh. I think the issues are good, but they interactions are not as good as they could be

well, i wasn't talking about cyke and wolvie in this particular run. i was saying that i prefer to put cyke and wolvie in the same stories because they usually play off each other well.

no, shadowcat has pretty much been #1 for the entire run... colossus' return was big, and ever since the breakworld story, he's been pretty much with kitty as the big central characters...

scott has had maybe 3 or 4 issues where he's got alot of focus, and even then there was always something else just as big if not bigger happening...

its cos they arent at each others throats anymore... they've both grown to (at least grudgingly) respect each other... logan knows scott's in charge, and scott knows he can rely on logan when he needs to...

i think they've actually grown a bit in this run in regards to each other...

hey, we need some goody two shoes characters. i think its a sad state of affairs when the "goody two shoes" guys who aren't some brooding borderline villian, and who do the right thing because its the right thing, are so looked down upon.

i agree pr, it seems that cyke and wolvie are starting to get past their mutual dislike a bit, which is good to see.

Honestly, I have to agree with both Capt and PR.

I think Astonishing is probably a bit overrated, overall.

It's good - definitely the very best X-book out.

But I don't think it's a contender for number one story line or anything.

you're just saying that because i don't like sodam yat that much... schmoll

it was never the actual stories that made astonishing great though, its the interpersonal stuff, the relationships between the characters, at least imo...
