well...if vince explodes, then its bye bye heat. like he has done in every game against miami, losing only one game on a no call on defensive foul on vince carter during a drive to the basket. vince scored 32 in the first meeting, 31 in the second, 51 in the third, and 31 to go along with a triple double in the fourth meeting. vince is also getting it done at the defensive end in the playoffs, as he is 2nd in steals to larry hughes but totalling more steals. vince is averaging just under 30ppg, and is shooting a good percentage from the field at 47.8%. krstic's jumpshot has become automatic in the playoffs, j-kidd has been dropping dimes like crazy at 10apg..1rst in the playoffs, and rj has been getting it done on the offensive end.

i made a mistake regarding carter's performances against the heat during the regular season. it was 32 in the first meeting, 51 in the second meeting, 31 in the third meeting to go along with a triple double, and 43 in the fourth meeting.

LeBron is gonna need more than a Scottie Pippen, he's gonna need a miracle....even if cleveland had that "other" guy, Pistons would still dominate, you can't counter defense...just ask Kobe and shaq, and now that the pistons are just a threat offensively as defensively and can beat you running the ball or in a half court set, good time to be a piston fan, i'm already gettin pumped for the next round, but i know i shouldn't get ahead of myself but...........DETIOT BABY DETROIT!!!!

Ok, lets go Miami and the Clippers!

i bet you never thought you would be rooting for the clippers, i know if i had to root for them, i would be like "go clippers!!, what?!...did i just say go clippers?"

what exactly are the clippers named after? paper clips? or the boats that are referred to as clippers? just curious!

Its a little different when its the whole Pistons' defense as opposed to say, the whole Suns' defense.

I was talking more about the regular season, i realise you cant compare the Suns defense to the Pistons.

The Pistons are built for the playoffs, you have to credit Joe D for putting that team together. Ben Wallace is just a terror on defense, how many times in that game did a sure fire lay up or dunk get sent back? They are so balanced on offense to, any one of their starting 5 (excluding Big Ben) can go for 30+ on any given night but most nights they just keep you guessing with a well rounded attack. The only thing i can see stopping the Pistons is themselves if they get too overconfident (like the wuTster). 😛

I don't mean just against Detroit, I mean in general. LeBron needs some damn help.

Besides, I remember Jordan and Pippen rocking Isaiah Thomas and the Pistons in 91. and that Piston's defense was TIGHT. yet it still took two great guys and some role players to beat them

i sont see the pistons getting overconfident. as far as i'm concerned they'll be in the finals no question. against the spurs and mavs i'd have them as favourites, but not certain winners. who knows... maybe the clips will bash their way through and be surprise champions. new york got teh finals in 2000 as the eight seed and lost to the spurs in 5. cant count the clips out.

LeBron is not Jordan (even 91 Jordan) and their are few players as complete as Pippen around (Artest is probably the closest). Im not insinuating thats what you meant but im pointing out the differences. The Bulls also had one of the greatest coaches leading them in Phil Jackson (not to mention Tex Winter and John Bach) and they ran the triangle which picked the Pistons apart. They also played incredible defense with Jordan and Pippen running rampant.
The Cavs have LeBron who is in his first playoffs and not much else. Mike Brown isnt even in Jackson's league as a coach and his main play is get the ball to LeBron and watch.

i know what you meant arach, i'm just saying even at that moment...if lebron had the "other" guy, pistons would still come out ontop, Jordan and Pippen finally beat the pistons in 91 but people, but they lost to them in 90, 89, 88, and 87..it took them 4 years to finally beat the pistons, and not to discredit a great bulls team but part of the reason for them beating the pistons is that the bulls were so young and pistons were old, they needed to rebuild, and they finally did with like Kool said, Joe D being the one to rebuild them into a championship calibar team, keyword there is team(and the wuTster doesn't get overconfident, he gets enthuastic afro2 )

Ouch, the Heat are getting smoked on their home floor. If they continue to play defense like this its gonna get ugly, they couldnt guard a fire hydrant right now.

yea, they tryed to run with new jersey in the 1st half and the results were the nets soring 60 in the 1st half, and jason kidd could going nuts, he can shoot blindfolded right now and it will fall

I have a couple things to say. First is about Walker and Williams. They are doing NOTHING. I don't know how many wide open shots that missed, but I know it was a lot. Williams even missed a lay-up. face-plain Shaq also has to stay out of foul trouble for the Heat to have a chance. The Heat were down by 28, and then got it down to 9. Thats a good sign. Plus, I don't think Kidd will shoot nearly as good as he did either.

Quick question Dan, what do you think about the Iverson trade rumours for the offseason? Would you like to see him traded? and if so who for?

P.S. The Heat were fugly, nuff said.

The Heats role players are ****in horrible, i can't stand them, so much ****in ego...Payton, Walker, Williams have done nothing but ****up team chemistry...Walkers fatass is too lazy and slow to post up so he just spots up and shoot 3's and misses, and when he actually makes one he gets a look on this face like "yea, i'm the shit"..no your not, you are just shit, Payton still thinks this is still 1996 when he was a star, and thinks he can still do things that he can't...like defend......and Williams thinks his job is to run, not run the offense, but literally run with the ****in ball, which actually plays into the other teams hand because Miami is best with a set offense that focus's on Wade and Shaq, but even Walkers fatass trys to **** that up but spotting up for 3's....this is where Pat Riley is suppose to come in and do his job, the only thing he has done is dye his ****in hair...."Yea what we are gonna do for the next game is dye my hair orange"..."what about strategy coach?"..."yea i think i'll go with hairgel instead of brylcream"

Suns/Clippers was a good game, both teams showed up...Clippers didnt play that much D though, they were too focused on outscoring the suns than actually stopping them, your not gonna win a high scoring game with the suns....they are too fast, too athetetic, and too talented to keep up with offensively, defensively is a different story

NETS BABY NETS!!! nets steal game 1....as i predicted, but in much better fashion than i predicted. i never expected new jersey's biggest lead to be 28 leading into the fourth quarter. vince fillef up the stat sheet again with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and making 15/19 free throw attempts which shows he is being agressive. dan, if you were watching the game, you saw that d-wade could not guard vince carter at all. he gave him about 5 wide open drives to the basket off a jab step, which forced o'neal to help out and get into foul trouble.
now, jefferson did get injured but he says he will be back in game 2 for sure. to top it all off, jason kidd had a very strong shooting game, scoring 22 on 9/17 shooting compared to his playoff average of under 30% shooting. if the nets keep this up, they may sweep miami.

NETS BABY NETS??......that sounds horrible!!!...it doesn't even have a ring to it, it's DETRIOT BABY DETRIOT!!!...people read that and think hey, i'll do it with my team, but it doesn't even sound good...and if you were watching the game than you must have noticed that vince carter can't guard D-Wade...in fact i'm sure you noticed that last year because it was cleary establashed than when Wade destroyed the Nets...But Franks whole defensive stradegy was centered around Wade and he still dropped 25, and they didnt even want Carter guarding him in the 4th because every time he did Wade scored so they put Jason Kidd on him and he actually did a good job on him

That sounds wrong too. It's spelled Detroit not Detriot.

Besides, it's going to be Phoenix all the way.
