Im cant believe im gonna say this but you're actually right, Wade defense was awful last night.

NETS BABY NETS??......that sounds horrible!!!...it doesn't even have a ring to it, it's DETRIOT BABY DETRIOT!!!...people read that and think hey, i'll do it with my team, but it doesn't even sound good...and if you were watching the game than you must have noticed that vince carter can't guard D-Wade...in fact i'm sure you noticed that last year because it was cleary establashed than when Wade destroyed the Nets...But Franks whole defensive stradegy was centered around Wade and he still dropped 25, and they didnt even want Carter guarding him in the 4th because every time he did Wade scored so they put Jason Kidd on him and he actually did a good job on him

with the vince carter vs dwayne wade matchup.....like i said, d-wade could not guard vince at all. he got past him like there was no one in front of him, just completely flew by him and forced shaq into foul trouble. shaq himself was glaring at wade because he was letting vince go by so easily. if stephen jackson thought danny granger's defense on vince was bad, he would have bitched about wade's defense for a month..or possibly longer. as for vince not playing good d on d-wade, he did not play d on him for most of the game, and when he did wade did get to the basket a few times...but not nearly as many times as vince got past him. vince also clearly had the better game and the better individual and team stat line as his team came out on top.

Nash sure is in amazing company as only the 5th back to back MVP holder. Sure would be a nice starting 5, although i guess a little too guard oriented.

Nash
Jordan
Magic
Byrd
Duncan

P.S. The Heat were fugly, nuff said.

I don't know if I want the Sixers to trade AI or not. If they do, they better get a couple of really good players, or one great player. There was rumor about a trade for Garnett. I would like that.

I'm not good with picking out realistic trades, so when the Sixers offer a trade I'll tell you if I like it or not.

NETS BABY NETS!!! nets steal game 1....as i predicted, but in much better fashion than i predicted. i never expected new jersey's biggest lead to be 28 leading into the fourth quarter. vince fillef up the stat sheet again with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and making 15/19 free throw attempts which shows he is being agressive. dan, if you were watching the game, you saw that d-wade could not guard vince carter at all. he gave him about 5 wide open drives to the basket off a jab step, which forced o'neal to help out and get into foul trouble.
now, jefferson did get injured but he says he will be back in game 2 for sure. to top it all off, jason kidd had a very strong shooting game, scoring 22 on 9/17 shooting compared to his playoff average of under 30% shooting. if the nets keep this up, they may sweep miami.

Yes, I was watching. Yeah Wade did play pretty bad on defense. He might have been a little exhausted from having to do EVERYTHING on offense, but that is still no excuse.

And I'm sorry but it will not be a sweep. For one, Jefferson can't play game 2, and possibly a couple more games. As i said I don't think Kidd will score 24 points again, and he might have to with Jefferson out. But first thing's first, Shaq has to stay out of foul trouble. He only played 29 minutes and had 20 points and 10 rebounds. If he stays out of foul trouble, he might have 35 points, 14 rebounds, and maybe a Heat win. The Heat only have 2 players right now, Wade and Shaq. Walker and Williams and Payton need to step up. Or at least STOP SHOOTING when NOTHING is going in.

I've had bad feeling about the playoffs all year. Before the playoffs even started I thought the Bulls would take the Heat to 7, lol. I still think this series will go 7, but with the way the Heat are playing, I won't say they will win, but I'll root for them.

i never said vince didnt have the better game, all i said was that has trouble guarding wade, but you have to give some credit to vince carter's teammates for him having the better game, specifically kidd and jefferson(even tho he only played 3 quaters, jefferson still had a 20+game) are what made it possible for vince to have the bettter game....give vince gary payton and antwaine walker and i gurantee he would be in the same boat as wade is, sure vince would still be able to score but all his aother numbers would deflate

don't get discouraged zeke, i have the same feelings you do about the heat but i'm pulling for Pat Riley to pull his team together...he needs do his job and coach, this isn't the 80's lakers team where he could just sit back and let them run there oppenents out the building

I heard a rumor that would package a bunch of players with Ricky Davis being the main one for Iverson. I'd be happy with a trade like that. 🙂

I want KG to stay on the T-Wolves though.

As for Iverson being traded in general, this is the first year that I would think that management would really consider trades for him. In the past they put up with him as long as they were winning games and bringing in fans. I could imagine them keeping him even after missing the playoffs as long as the fans keep coming. However, I heard that there ticket sells don't reflect that he's bringing in huge crowds anymore. Anywhere else, he still would because it would be new.

yea, but i heard that KG doesn't want to play for the T-wolves anymore...i love watching detroit dominate 🙂 they got sloppy in the 4th tho, but the damage was already done

GO MAVS!!!! clap

Man the Mavs completely trashed the Spurs.

I know, I didn't see that coming. I would like to see the Spurs and Suns go the WC finals; that would be a good one.

The Heat probably won't try to bully Carter or question his toughness the way Indiana guard Anthony Johnson did in the first-round series. Carter averaged 29.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.7 assists against the Pacers.

"Vince is a guy who, if you get physical with him, he gets mad," Wade said. "He can do a lot of different things that a lot of people can't do because of his athletic ability. Indiana said that about him, and you saw what happened. He went off and had a great series. So we don't get into all that."

i was waiting for someone to say that...

game 2 tonight at 8, richard jefferson is doubtful, and i am so ****en sure that if rj does not play, vince is going to score atleast 40.

i can see shaq getting at least two games playing like a beast... whether they'll win i do not know.

Heat win! Wade 31 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Thats says alot about a player if he can bounce back like that, especially in a must win playoffs game. Great game for D-Wade, Shaq showed that he can be affective if he stays out of foul trouble also.

yeah wade had a great game...he was hitting threes!!! and shaq did a great job of staying out of foul trouble. the heat got off to a great start and a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back. vince got it going a little bit at the start of the fourth quarter but lawrence frank gave up with 5 minutes to go in the fourth as the heat still had a commanding lead, and gave the rest of the bench players some playing time.

looking forward to game 3 in new jersey....my predictions have been right so far.

no games are on tonight, what the hell am i gonna watch?!...all my predictions have been right except for what i said about Denver/Clippers...speaking of which, they interviewed Kenyon Martin last night because he was at the game and it didn't sound like he was gonna be a denver nugget next year, he's a good player, but overrated

if the nets kept him, got the same draft picks...and then got vince......WOW, that would be an unstoppable all star lineup...not next in line to the detroit pistons.

they would have had....

nenad krstic, richard jefferson, jason kidd, kenyon martin, and vince carter.

There is a lot of talk of him going to my Blazers for Zach Randolf. I'm not so sure about that trade. 😬
