Wow, I can't believe the Kings traded Webber for basically nothing in return. I predict the next trade they do will be with the Rockets. Bobby Jackson for Mo Taylor. It kinda makes sense for both teams, it would address needs on both sides, otherwise this trade makes no sense whatsoever except to dump his contract and save money, but for what or for whom?

I think the Kings will be better with Iverson than they were with Webber.

Webber is a choke artist. He's never hit a big shot in his life, he doesn't make the players around him better, he's not a play maker....he's just a PF with a shoe contract.

And isnt he always injured?

Not really.

He injured his leg in the playoffs (or right before) 2 years ago and he really never got his legs back during last season. I think he missed the begining of the season because it was still recovering so he joined mid-season and he just couldn't get up to speed.

He's a solid power forward in most areas of the game, but he isn't a difference maker. Allen Iverson most certainly is a difference maker.

The Sixers have definately ungraded. Whether you like C-Webb or not he is a solid PF, one of the best passers at his position. It will hopefully take the pressure off AI and turn the Sixers into a force in the east. They also got rid of Robinson for Rodney Rogers and Mashburn. In Rodgers they at least get an active player.

Personally, I don't think the subtraction of Iverson and the addition of Chris Webber will do anything positive to that team at all. The other additions are what I think will make the difference.

Webber won't score more points or distribute the ball as well as Iverson. Iverson's constant driving to the hole is offense in itself. Sure, Webber is a phenominal passer for a power forward, but he won't have the ball in his hands on offense nearly as much as Iverson did...so his impact on that end of the court won't be felt as strongly.

Are you saying that Iverson has left the Sixers?

Bunch of trades happened now. Phili also traded Glen Robinson for Jamal Mashburn and Rodney Rogers (another good trade for Phili). Payton to Hawks for Walker, putting Walker back with the Celts. Also, Mo Taylor will not be heading to Kings any time soon since he was just traded as well to the Knicks for Vin Baker, Moochie Norris and a 2nd rnd pick (pending league approval). Van Horn went to Mavs for Alan Henderson and Calvin Booth plus cash. I'd rather not have Van Horn's contract. He's not worth it. Cleveland got Jiri Welsch for a 2007 pick from Boston. Mike James and Zendon Hamilton went to Houston from Bucks for Gaines and 2 2nd rnd picks.

No, I think Link got confused. Iverson is on Phili with Webber. Kings just got f*cked in the butt.

Spurs also apparently sent Malik Rose and 2 no. 1 picks to the Knicks for Nazr Mohammed and Jamison Brewer.

Yeah he definatley got confused. If we traded Iverson for Webber i would kill someone. Iverson is 10000 million times better the Webber. Well, no he isnt, but Webber can not carry a team, or average 29 points and almost 8 assists. Go Sixers!!!!

^^..LOL..Yeah, definitely confused, I hope he's realized what actually happened.

As far as these trades go, I think the 3 teams to come out on top were the Sixers definitely, they picked up a couple of scoring power forwards to go with Webber and Iverson for someone who didn't even want to play for them anyway, although I'm not a big fan of Mashburn, if you thought Big Dog's work ethic was lazy wait till you see Mashburn's. Also, the Rockets picked up 2 point guards which they needed desperately now that Bobby Sura's hurt. And Cleveland got a shooter they needed in Jiri Welsch for practically nothing. I really don't understand the Mavs trade at all except to unload some contracts for cap room, I can understand letting go of Booth but Henderson has done a really good job for us on the boards and Van Horn...ughhh...whatever..I hope another trade comes soon.

Btw, if you can't tell i'm a Mavs fan 😉 and No, I don't live in Texas.

Van Horn is a choke-hazzard. Never liked him, never will. I'm just happy the Blazers didn't get him as rumored. Miami got Steve Smith for Malik Allen. That gives them more 3-ball and with Mourning soon to come, they actually are getting some depth.

Man, we almost lost to the Kings without Webber, pheww...good thing we pulled it out in the end.

Btw, when's Shaq suppose to be coming back?

Yup

I didn't actually get a chance to read up on it, I just figured that would be the only way to get Webber out of Sac.

Yah Philly will be a sh!t load better with him and Iverson on a team together. Jesus going on and on like that was embarassing. 😮

😆 Yeah, I bet.

Shaq is day-to-day.

I hear Payton wants a buyout so he can sign elsewhere. I hear he would be open to going back to Boston despite his whining about the east coast at the beginning of the season.

I'm surpraised that the Raptors didnt make any trades considering teams wanted Rose and Marshall.

Damn!!! Webber missed a lay up to tie the game!!! 😠 oh well, it always takes time for new players to get used to each other, i think Webber had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Not bad.

That was a tough loss to the Kings, but if i were you i'd be pretty excited about the Sixers right now. If Webber can avoid injury they are gonna be a strong team.

webber doesnt need an injury to screw things up....he does that all on his own some way some how....maybe a change of scenerie is just what he needs to get his head back in the game
