So Rec, Nets offered Collins and a 2nd round pic for Magloire. Blazers are trying to get a 1st rounder instead.
If the Blazers get a 1st rounder, I'd take it and you could unload Collins and upgrade at center. I don't think I'd really have to worry about Collins actually playing much because he'd be behind Przybilla, LaFrentz, and Aldridge while it could help the Blazers future with the draft. Nets would have an immediate upgrade.

If it were to happen, then it would only be in my dreams. I just don't see Jason Collins leaving the Nets anytime soon.
Oh yeah btw, the Nets were crushed at home against the Mavericks yesterday. Very disappointing. I guess the one game that I get front seats to, they play like high school players. Anyway, they were losing the whole time, but in the second half, they made a little run cutting the lead to six. Mikki Moore made some very key plays during this spurt, and this is all done with Collins on the bench. I know I can't blame him for the loss, but it's sort of ironic that the minute Collins subs in for Moore, they begin to suck again like they did in the entire first half and they end up losing by 17.

I cannot believe the outcome of this game. 161-157!!!!!! I'm glad that they never gave up and stuck with it, even though they lost. Still, it nearly ripped me half to see Nash hit that 3 at the end of regulation and have Kidd's game winning shot in OT rim out. It wasn't just in and out. It was in, out, in, and out.
Anyway, J-Kidd put up 38-14-14 for his 78th career TD, tying Wilt for 3rd place of all time. Can't ask much more from the trooper. It was costly mistakes that caused the loss, but I'll take this performance anyday.
That was some questionable coaching at the end of regulation of the Suns/Nets game. Lawerence has the Nets intentional foul the Suns with 4 seconds left so they can't shoot a 3, than on the last play of the game he has them play D and it allows Nash to sink a 3. I'm not complaining though because it allowed for the game to continue, and I was rooting for the Suns, plus the Pistons took out the Mavs, Double Bonus.

The intentional foul was to prevent a tying 3, and when Nash hit the 3, it was beacuse kidd was picked hard and couldn't keep up with him. the other players didn't know this, so they didn't have time to react. It wasn't a coaching mistake; it was player miscommunication.
Not to biased, but the Suns were really lucky to come out on top. A lot of things went their way last night.

The Suns scored 161 pts, thats not luck. Sure they caught some breaks but they capatalized on them, thats pretty what determines all close games.

He DID tell them to foul right away. it's just Jason fell into a hard screen to free up Nash, which was a trick set up (and a good one) by the Suns. Therefore, mikki Moore didn't have ample time to run up and catch up to Nash. Kidd got a hand up, but to no avail.

Ok, well if thats true, and Frank did tell them to foul right away, than how come none of the Nets fouled before the Suns inbounded the ball? Thats just stupid on the Nets players to let them inbound the ball, and than try and foul them, because you know the Suns gonna shoot a 3, which could lead to a 4 point play. Its obvious about the miscommunication on the 3 that let Nash tie it, my point is that the Nets could have fouled while the Suns were inbounding the ball instead of waiting for the Suns to already make the inbound pass, and than foul.
When a team drops 161 pts, that is hardly irrelevant in any situation, because obviously no defense is being played, and the Suns are well known for there offense. I believe they average the mosts points per game this year, I know they're definetly top two in that category. You're not gonna beat the Suns if you try and outscore them, and thats exactly what the Nets tryed to do. You can say that Nash hit a lucky shot, but he has hitten big shots before, give any 3pt threat a good look at the basket and you're asking for trouble. Like you said Kidd had two chances to tie the game and he blew both chances, whether he missed left, or the ball went in and out, in and out, now thats irrelevant, a miss is a miss anyway you look at it. Nets had there chances and failed to take advantage of them, thats not the refs fault.
