You haven't told me anything.I love how you base everything off of one situation in Indiana like he's going to go nuts in every other situation. Did he ruin Chicago's franchise(don't come at me with "they sucked" take because that's not the point)? Love the irony of your bashing Artest while defending Carter, considering how he crapped on the Rapters was just as worse as what Artest did to Indiana.
Like I said, he's doing too much on offense but it is correctable. Maybe he will see this maybe he won't. I think with the relatively new team and Bibby being hurt, he thinks he needs to do everything on offense since he doesn't know how dependable the rest of his teammates are. The offense right know is inconsistent, some quarters there is great ball movement, others it's stagnant one on one. Once they get used to each other, I think we'll see Artest in the post more often and taking less bad shots. Also, with Brad out, it does make it easier to double him in the post as Brad is a great mid range shooter. And saying that, even though he's pissing me off on offense, he is still playing great defense and has put a huge effort in improving his rebounding while playing with nagging injuries. Yeah, he is killing this team..
Martin is ready as ever. He has hit clutch shots before and will hit more. It just pisses me off when they give him the Peja treatment when unlike Peja, Martin has no problem taking the big shot.
There is no irony, because Vince wanted to be traded to get to a winning team, that's all. In the 03-04 season, the Raptors were what? 22-60, or something like that. If he was decent to them, he would have played it through, but ultimately, he didn't crap on the Raptors, the Raptors crapped on him and put him on an island to carry the team. And whenever they lost, the blame would go straight to him. Talk about a winning team. Indiana on the other hand went to the finals before Artest came. And what does he eventually do? Mess up the chemistry and unity of the team, leave a permanent scar to the organization in igniting the Palace brawl, and when he has the chance to help them into a true contender, he says, "Can I take a few days off and finish up my rap?" He put his hobby over his team (once again, a really good team). He could have waited until the summer to do it, but he decided to lay off on his job to do it, and you're giving him this much trust?
Vince's glad that the Nets are actually moving forward, unlike the Raptors were. Now what's wrong with that? Inidiana on the other hand was right there at the top, and Artest just crushed it, blew it to pieces. Comparing Artest to Vince is downright absurd.
And I love how you think what Artest did is just one little thing and that he will automatically change permanently once he's on your team. I don't do that with Vince. I don't go out there and say, "Yeah, Vince is a changed man, he will always be there for my Nets." I still think his approach upon Toronto was abrupt and childish. He has proven himself so far in Jersey, but I don't assume that he will always be like that. And if someone were to ask me about my feelings on his character, I wouldn't be afraid to give him constructive criticism and admit his wrongdoings. It almost seems like if Artest wasn't on the Kings, you'd say, "Oh yeah, Artest is definitely a time bomb, a trouble maker indeed."
Keep in mind, this is the guy who in one season held the record for days suspended in the 02-03 season (this was before the Palace brawl). He has been fined just about a billion times, he has been the focal point of picking fights, and how many times have you seen him throw stuff in the locker room and take out his temper on cameramen and photographers? Don't you see a pattern in his behavior? It's not just a fluke, it's not just a random occasion. It's reality.
