Even last year i didnt have much confidence in the Lakers, even though they had great players they were horribly inconsistent. The last time i had supreme confidence in the Lakers we had #32 at the point guard. Even in the Shaq and Kobe era we were not a great TEAM, we just had enough talented individuals to get the job done. Your confidence in the Pistons is just though, they are hitting their stride at the right time.
I think over seven games the Spurs MAY just edge the Pistons, mainly because they have a more potent offence (with Duncan). But the Pistons match up well with the Spurs and with Rasheed they dont need to double Duncan, which is where alot of teams struggle. Prince and Bowen would be a good match up from a defensive stand point. Both are great defenders but Prince is a better scorer. The guard match ups are interesting to, Ginobli is as tough an asignment as there is in the League and Rip is constant motion. Billups has the edge over Parker i think mainly because Parker cant play defense and has no outside shot. I think if these 2 teams meet in the Finals it will come down to the Spurs outside shooting and their bench stepping up, which i think they will. If not the Pistons will grind them down and repeat.
