YES! We finally got rid of Brian Cook! (First Smush gone and now Cook).
Shame we had to give up Mo Evans as well but i like the athleticism that Trevor Ariza brings, he can play some great defense at the 3 and 2 spot. With the way we are trapping at half court now he could really help out in that department and he is also a great finisher on the break (our bench is looking very solid now). Obviously he will take some time to get used to the triangle but he is young and has loads of upside, i like the young core we have with Farmar, Bynum, Turiaf, Crittenton and now Ariza. Hopefully Kobe can see that his best chance to get back to the big stage is to stick around and mentor the youngsters (we have vets like Fish, Lamar, Vlade and Walton), in a couple of years i can see us challenging again. Any team that he gets traded to is gonna have to give up too much to be a legit contender, so patience is the best option imo.

i was lucky renough to have the boston game on live in the UK. did notice several things...
cavs had trouble killing the game off. they play pretty well but boston started taking control and both teams could only manage spats offensively.
ray allen choked, but i think you can let him off for the three he made against the bobcats.
celtics bench is pretty bad.... scalabrine impressed me, made a nice shot and did some garbage work.
kevin garnett can dominate without you even noticing.
lebron is a heck of a player. made some nice shots and the layup he had in teh fourth quarter i think it was was so nice to watch, sending his defender teh wrong way then gliding around someone for the lay in.
good game, just wished the end was more exciting
I was just reading about Vajerio and the Cavs. Vajerfro claims that all the talk about him demanding 9-11 million dollars are untrue. I didn't know this, but apperantly in the offseason Danny Ferry showed up at his house in Brazil w/o Vaj's agent present with a contract, and the contract wasn't that great. Thats Vajina side of the story. It looks like that the only way Vaj is going to play this year is if there is a sign and trade deal.

Varejo wanted a one yesar deal for a lot of money. Cavs wanted to sign him to a 4 or 5 year deal. He balked. Latest talk is Varejo will get traded. I hoped he gets trades to a sorry team then Cleveland can get their good draft puick..
