remember when orlando signed the then in his prime grant hill and a fresh tracy macgrady? it should have been a huge thing. hills do it all game and macgradys high scoring and flashiness. hill got injured and hasnt been the same player since, which is a huge shame for anyone into basketball. he was incredible to watch. taking people off the dribble, setting other players up, rebounding over bigger guys... he had it all.

They were also expected to sign Duncan that summer. That was nuts. Then everybody thought Duncan was insane to re-sign with the Spurs, but we all know that worked out for him.

Lakers 12-1

120-93 woot

Led by Pau's 26 pts and 56 pts off the bench(18 for Farmar)

'm actually going to watch a full game later. sis taped teh cavs knicks game for me... god i miss watching a full game. one game a week though and they give us that grrr!

It was Lewis who hit the shot.

And that was ridiculous, Miller pulled up from half court with 3 more seconds left on the clock. He could have least got to the 3 point line or something. I doubt he would have made it anyway but that made me mad when he shot it with 3 seconds still left on the clock.

It was Lewis

Bad shot by Miller

Another dominating game by the Blazers (38 point victory over the Heat). I think the Blazers now hold the 2 biggest blowouts of the season with 42 and 38.

Andrew Bynum is listed as day to day

We'll be ready when the Lakers need him

Hey, Myth, what are your thoughts on this:

That sounds like a sucker trade

Hey, the Grizzlies ARE known to do that. 😆

I'm not sure if Conley is the answer I would be looking for, but I could be ok with it. Warrick could be a nice change from Frye who has been disappointing and is redundant behind Aldridge anyway. Outlaw is very expendable now that Webster is coming back, but this trade doesn't really settle a lot of the minutes for Portland. It would just make more log jams at the PG position while getting rid of the log jam at SF.

I'm also worried about what happens if Conley doesn't work out. My fear is that once we have Conley, we are stuck with him, so if he ends up disappointing us, we can't trade him for an upgrade out of fear of pissing off Oden. Oden can't be mad at the Blazers if we never have Conley, but if we get Conley then eventually get rid of him, he may see us as responsible for getting rid of his best friend.

Bibby could be nice though, in the sense that he is a veteran leader at the PG position.

Lakers 13-1

114-107

Led by Kobe's 35, D-Fish 22, and Trevor's 15 pts

His energy is incredible

right... idea for a topic here. if you could ask a player a question what would it be? about general life on the road? certain moments in a game? about futures or pasts? doesnt have to be specific players but fine if it is.

Great win for the Lakers tonight, i was kinda worried about the Raptors coming into the game as we have had trouble defending penetrating PG's and Calderon is ballin right now. I cant believe how Bynum shut down Bosh, he made him a jumpshooter and contested every shot. It was obvious that Bosh was intimidated by Bynum's length and he was a non factor when Drew was on him. Kobe seems to have found more of a balance now, i think it took him some time to adjust to having so many options and sometimes not being involved in plays at all. Drew and Gasol continue to play well together, i love Pau's passing skills i can see him leading the league in assists at his position.
Lamar fits the 6th man role to a tee, there were times when we couldnt win when he only scored 3pts but now he can do all the other things he enjoys doing like hitting the boards and sharing the ball (10 and 6 tonight in those departments). Ariza just goes from strength to strength, we have to do everything we can to lock him up over the summer. A lot of fun being a Laker fan right now, not only are we winning but we are playing great d and sharing the ball. Thats the way i love to watch hoops being played at any level.

Lakers win again

woot

yeah we really missed oneal in that game, with him there we would have matched up a lot better. when you're a big man down you're always in trouble. fair play to the lakers, they took us out. next time if jermaines playing though i think we'll see a better contest!
