The Hornets rely too much on Paul to create everything, their offense only looks good if Paul is having a good game. Billups is more than capable of slowing him down with his strength and we all saw the results last night. I dont think B.Scott is a bad coach at all, but he needs a post presence that can score when Paul is being keyed on. The Nuggets know that if they concentrate on Paul then the Hornets have nothing for them.
Glad we closed out last night even though we gave up a big lead AGAIN. I dont want to sound like a broken record so i'll just say great series from Lamar, the most consistent player on the floor over the 5 games. He brought it on both ends and seems to be able to focus so much better these days (guess those meditation sessions with Phil are helping). He is so valuable to our team when he plays like this, he can be a difference maker in every series with the matchup problems he poses.
Orlando take game 5. 💃
Dwight had 24 points, 24 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Lewis had 24 points. Turk had 9 and Alston had 14.
The bench is what made the difference though. The D really came through and they played better ball than the Sixers bench overall.
Great effort. Better shooting and better D (really knuckled down on their men). Got a lot of big rebounds and steals.
This is the Orlando Magic that got that 59 wins in the regular season. The threes started to fall again something that hasn't happened since the beginning of April, I hope that continues for the rest of the Playoffs.
Some bad calls went both ways which always irritates me and Lee got injured by a thunderous elbow from Dwight on a rebound. Despite that, this was a awesome win.
I just hope Lee is okay.
Man, I need to get more tickets to Blazer playoff games. Any time my girlfriend comes with me to the games, we win. Not some small sample or anything either. She has attended probably 40 games with me over the last 3 years, all wins. We also made it to games 2 and 5 of this series. I need plane and game tickets for Houston on Thursday, lol.
Also, I'm happy to see the refs let the players decide this game. The rest of the series has been ticky tack fouls. This was true playoff grit. Hopefully this puts pressure on Houston because they know they have one last home game and if they blow it, its game 7 in Portland.
