I'm glad the Magic won. I am not a Lebron fan by any means. I think he's a great player, but he's been hyped as one of the greatest players of all time since before he stepped onto an NBA court, and I absolutely hate it when a player is overhyped like that. What's worse is he's acting like he's starting to believe it. He just has such a smug look on his face every time he makes a big shot.

Here's hoping for a Nuggets-Magic finals.

Well that is a fairly typical forum response to Lebron I think. He is sort of like Wolverine people automatically dislike him cause he is popular.

I used to be in that camp, but I watched his game and I really like it. He is still rough around the edges but the guy is flat out amazing and I would take him first over anyone in the league if I was starting a franchise or was GM for a year. Do I still realize that Kobe is an assassin in the clutch? Sure. Do I acknowledge that D-Wade is more complete defensively? Absolutely. But wade is not the kind of leader Lebron is. The team that D-Wade had this year is only marginally worse than the team that Lebron led to the finals. And Kobe is a great scorer but he aint a leader you can see it in the faces and body languages of the people who play with him.

Sure his celebrations and stuff can be obnoxious, but really it doesn't seem any worse than the preening that regularly goes on in the NBA. And I would take a smug grin over the naked contempt I see in Kobe's face. I mean Lebron actually got me intersted in the NBA again.

Don't get me wrong. I think the guy is flat out amazing when playing. I just hate how the media is trying to shove just how great he is down everyone's throats. Like last night, I swear on ESPN I heard and saw more about Lebron's 49 point game than of the Magic actually winning that game. It makes it worse (for me) that after he makes a big shot, he has a look on his face like "damn, I'm good" rather than being genuinely excited.

Well I can't argue with you there. The media is all over his nuts. I too was waiting to see some magic highlights, I mean those alleys Dwight threw down were crazy, and they took some killer shots. But they were obsessed with showing Lebron's lone dunk over and over.

I know. All day I was like, wtf? 🙄

Lebron is the future no doubt, but the media is ridiculously tight around his nuts and I really dislike how many foul calls he gets away with.

Man they threw some phantom fouls at Dwight too. Didn't they realize that we were doing better with him in the game? I mean if you are going to cheat, do it right.

Oh, I know. I was screaming bloody murder most of the first half.

I'd prefer the NBA to call a clean games with honest and experienced refs, but as they say, you can crap in one hand and wish in the other and see which gets filled first. Though they're discussing bringing in instant replays for next year. That should change things... or at least one would hope.

And I'll admit, even though I want to see the Magic in the finals, a Kobe v Lebron finals would be a huge draw with a story to boot. I almost feel conflicted, almost. 😉

lmao at Billups, threw the pass off Kobe's back.

Priceless.

Hahaha Kobe got bamboozled.

Lakers lost 🙁

Phil didn't give Andrew a chance in the 2nd half

Tough, tough loss for the Lakers.

They couldn't get a call in the fourth. Pau, in particular couldn't catch a break. And what the hell was that about the illegal motion during the tip-off!? How does that slip by?

Kobe was amazing and so was Carmelo.

Exciting game to watch. The rest of the series should be the same.

Magic and Nuggets. w00t

Yeah amazing game. Imagine Lebron with Carmelo's shooting touch...droolio

Man what a day to log back on to KMC. Phil has got to be made accountable for losses like these, his substitution patterns make no sense and came back to bite us in the ass tonight.
1. We are up big in the 2nd quarter and the bench is playing well, Farmar has just made a string of good plays creating for others and Phil kills the momentum by bringing back in Fish. The lead evaporated within minutes.
2. Bynum was impacting the game when he was out there, his stats may not be mind boggling but he was a presence out there and the Nuggets were tentative to take it into the paint. Phils solution was to bench him for pretty much the whole 2nd half, just look at his +/- he was a big reason we were winning.
3. In the 4th this time we have Shannon in and playing well, taking it to the hole and making good decisions defensively. Phil decides to kill that again and put Fish in who promptly starts chucking 3's and letting his man blow past him.
I know Phil has 9 rings but can anybody honestly say that some of his decisions tonight weren't just straight up lunacy. His love for Fish is now costing us important games, more minutes for Farmar, Brown and Bynum and i believe we take this game. Now we have lost home court and have to go into Denver where the Nuggets play even better. I still think we can win this series but Phil has got to stop being so damn stubborn and play the players that are playing well. Sasha and Fish are hurting the team right now and to keep playing them is just giving your opponent an advantage.

Nuggets cheated, I saw Karl hand the ref a c-note.

Benching Andrew made no sense. He had nine points and some boards and the Lakers were rolling

Ef my life.

Phil's overplaying of Fisher is starting to disturb me. So is Sasha's excessive poor shooting/fouling.

Sasha has been horrible, So damn horrible, fish as well

Should have had bynum in 2nd half.

that last play was just bull crap.

Agreed

Jordan should've got some minutes also

Yea no one can talk shit about Lebron after that shot. How the F do you let him catch the ball?
