Lakers are still under the celtics in most ways. in the ways tht count. this was lucky bratty snobby Kobe's last lucky ring.

Celtics - 2oo9 - 2o1o NBA champions. Ipromise you.

Except, Danny Ainge is trying his best to convince one of the teams picking 3-5 in this year's draft to take a 34 year old Ray Allen for Tryeke Evans's draft rights. Good luck with that one, Danny.

I'd take a healthy Bynum/Ariza/Brown along with Kobe/Gasol/Odom against your aging Bastin team. 🙂

Lakers will win it 2010, 2011 and we'll all die 2012

Nah, Sixers, Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers all win in 2010 and 2011. Then in 2012, Matt Stairs, AKA God, saves us all from dying, and the Philly teams continue to win for the rest of eternity.

Go Lakers

nah, only in dream world... the bust McNabb will get hurt soon , steroids will take care of the phillies and the sixers will be nothing forever and ever...

LAKERS all the way

WORLD CHAMPS BABY!!! 💃
I've been flying through my work this morning so i could get on line and enjoy the moment with you Laker fans.
Guy i remember how we talked after last years disappointment and this moment seemed so far away, what a journey!
I cant convey how proud i am to be a Laker fan today, it takes a special kind of will to get beat down the way we did last season and get back to the show and win it all. That special kind of will is Kobe's and he infused the team with it all season long. Haters will always hate but there is not a NBA fan in the world that can honestly say they would not want Kobe on their team, the guy is just incredible. His shot selection pisses me off sometimes but the determination he showed this season to fight through all comers and take the title is to be admired. He has grown into a hell of a leader and anyone that cant see that is blind with hate.
Im so happy for guys like Lamar (who has had more than his share of misery in his life), Fish and even Mbenga (who has been through a hell of a ride). I've said it before but this Laker team is so easy to cheer for because it is full of good dudes that get along. There's no power struggle they know their roles and they just want to win. After all the drama with the 3peat era that is really refreshing.
Congrats to Phil who is now in a class by himself, he continually teaches impatient fans like myself to be calm and have faith. Props to Mitch to for building the team, this is not a team of ring chasing vets - he has built this team over time and its built for the long haul. We must bring back Trevor, Lamar and Brown. I doubt we can get a can of Gatorade for Sasha but if we can we must dump him to clear some money up.
Laker fans its been a great journey, thanks for making the season even more fun for an obsessive fan like myself.

Peace. 😮‍💨

Indeed a great day for the Lakers fans

🙂

One more thing i have to say is that i really like how the Magic conducted themselves through the finals, usually i develop a dislike for any team we're playing in the playoffs but i couldnt with Orlando. They are just a very likable team and they have the talent to get to the finals for years to come. I can see this inspiring a young hard working player like Dwight to work on his game and come back strong next year.
I also like the way he stayed on the court afterwards to see what its like to win and use that as motivation for next season (he said this much in his post game interview). A far cry from the "Chosen One". I have a lot of respect for the Magic after this series and hopefully we can have a rematch next year, that is unless we can get Beantown for some revenge.

Couldn't agree more. I liked how Dwight Howard conducted himself the entire series, if they make the Finals again, I'm pulling for him. Unless they play us again, that is. 😛

You know, outside of Kobe, I don't see any players on this team that will eventually have their number retired. The other teams had multiple players honored as such (or will be honored), not this one.
Pau Gasol just seems like a stretch here. Definitely not on Mikan/Wilt/Kareem/Shaq's level, but a level above any other Laker big man. Its weird, like he's a second tier guy.

'Course, this is just me looking way ahead into the future.

I tell you, its a good thing we re-signed Sasha, I don't know if we could've pulled it off if we didn't...

I think we were probably bidding against ourselves with Sasha but oh well.
Here's a cool article about Kobe helping his teammates improve which i encourage all Laker fans to read: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/bryant-ariza-gasol-2464110-lakers-jackson ,talk about "making your teammates better".

I have to agree with you there. I really liked Orlando and I wish all teams conduct themselves in the manner that they do. They weren't egotistical, hot heads or poor sports and they seemed genuinely grateful to be in the position they were in. The only dude I didn't like was Pietrus.

The Magic were far cry from the hot headed, down right dirty players in Denver and the Rockets weren't so great themselves.

The Lakers are taking Boston's ring home to LA and @'ll forever seriously believe that, man.

They need too thank Garnett for had he'd not been inured we'd of beaten them in 6 just like we did last year.

It's ok though. Garnett guaranteed a ring next year.

And Red A. has won 8 NBA titles in a row. Try doing that Phil..

Go Celtics. L.A. can go suck it hard. They don't deserve the trophy, I'm sorry.

😆 I missed this one a couple of pages back, oh man this just makes it even sweeter.

I didn't miss it

No need to respond

Many many good things ahead for us Lakers fans

lakers deserved teh title, mainly because they won the games. would have been interesting to see how the celtics would have done if garnett had been healthy, but thats part of sports. injuries arent excuses
