doesnt look like the raps can even afford a free agent, and they could do with a pg. i dont think alvin williams is gonna be fit for a while, and who knows how good he'll be when he comes back.

Well then if we go by the ancient greeks, that means we include wrestling, but not ordinary wrestling, but wresting to the death. Things change.

They got the 4th best PG from thier third pick, the raptors did.

do you mean the foreign guy? apparantly hes staying in europe for a year to mature a little. "Point guard Roko Ukic, who isn't with the Raptors, remains up in the air simply because of the quirky buyout clauses in Europe. If he's not a member of this year's club the Raptors retain his rights. Where does that leave the Raptors if Ukic is a no-show? Babcock will have to acquire a point guard via free agency or trade to back up Rafer Alston." qoute from chuck swirskys column on the toronto raptors official site.

of course things change in olympics, but it seems that every sport should be in the olympics. maybe we should keep it to the death, i know the ancient greeks did this, and that the winners were treated with extremely high esteem. lets throw the worst celebrities in the ring, give them all pitching forks and let them get on with it. if they dont start fighting then put in the paparazzi. that'll get em fighting for attention. should get nasty then.

Sounds like a plan.

True, the guy might not play yet. But is there a afforable PG out there?

well brevin knight is available, so is darrel armstrong. both would be useful.

I'd much rather have Brevin Knight. Armstrong isn't what he use to be.

There are a few FA PG's out there. The Lakers are in the hunt for a PG as well, Dan Dickau, Brevin Knight, Tyronn Lue, Jeff McInnis and Earl Watson are on their list. Gary Payton's agent has contacted the Lakers but i hope they pass on him. Payton doesn't suit Phils triangle offence and it exposes his shooting inadequacies.
We were in the hunt for Antonio Daniels but could only offer him a 2yr contract, the Wizards offered him 5yrs at 30 million the rest is history. I would have liked to see Daniels in a Laker uniform but a 5yr contract to a 30yr old backup PG is a bit much.
Shame Larry Brown was kicked out of Detroit, there must be more to that story than we are hearing. Why would you get rid of a coach that has taken a team without a top flight superstar (sorry wuTa) to the finals twice in the last two years? I know he has some health problems but thats not the reason i heard he was shown the door.
Roll on November !!!

Well, like I heard, Pistons got Flip so its not all bad for them. Cavs are really starting to pull a team together. They have signed Donyell Marshall who will most likely replace the horribly inconsistant Drew Gooden. Not that Drew is bad, but you really can't count on him either. Word is that the Cavs are really close to signing that awesome Lithuanian PG, a decision is expected by the end of the week. Speaking of Drew, with the addition of Marshall, it is likely he will be traded. They have had discussions with Dallas about Terry or Harris, but I don't know if they will be doing that if they get the Lithuanian as well. Also I hear that Blazers are giving up Shareef for just a 1st round pick from the Nets that is lottery protected. That is just weak for the Blazers. I hear the Nets have also agreed to a deal with Cliff Robinson.

Cliff Robinson? he's still playing?
I'm not sure why the Blazers are giving up Shareef, I'm guessing it's due to free agency but I thought they'd try to keep him. Who are the Blazers replacing him with Myth?
I've heard about that Lithuanian PG to, I didn't know he could be heading for the Cavs though. That would be a great signing for them, he has mad skills apparently.
The latest Laker news (like you guys give a shit) is that our 2nd round pick Ronny Turaif is going to be out for a year after undergoing open heart surgery. It really is a shame, he seems like a good kid from what I've read and would have given the Lakers some much needed energy off the bench. Hopefully he can recover for next year.

Blazers are replacing Reef with a draft pick and money, lots of money. The Blazers really didn't try to keep him because he was asking for too much money considering he would be back up to Randolph. He also didn't fit into the running game that the Blazers will be running.
Cavs have the advantage of having the Lith PG's best friend Zydrunas to lure him.
In other Laker news, it is very possible that they may pick up Damon Staudamire or Gary Payton. They share the same agent and he claimed that their is mutual interest between the organization and each player.

The Cavs are gonna be good this year, with Lebron, Hughes, Zydrunas and now Donyell Marshall. I really like Donyell Marshall, i dont know that much about him but i know he can hit 3's, he tied the record for most 3's in a game against us, so thats how i know. And from what've i've heard he's a good rebounder too. He's a pretty good scorer too i think. I dont know much about this lituianian guy, actully i know nothing, but if hes really good, than i would pick the cavs to make or get close to the finals.

davidson, owner of the pistons, ran larry brown out of town, did the same thing with rick carslie, i'm not sold on flip saunders.... i thought he shoulda got a one yr deal with some options

i guess flip saunders is gonna play darko and try and develop him.....this is either gonna be really interesting or really funny, my guess is both

At least the Kings will only have to deal with The Racist for one year. The only plus from the trade is we got rid of Ostertag.

What's the deal with Darko is he any use at all or is he just a bench warmer? If he is so hopeless why was he drafted so high?

Who's the racist Dr? I cant blame you for wanting to see the back of Ostertag, he should have hung them up a long time ago.

I'm speaking of Bonzi Wells.

Oh. I did a quick search and found out what he said, there's certainly no room in the NBA for that type of crap.

we're gonna find out the ansewer to your 1st question this year....larry brown didnt feel like darko was mature enought to play so he didnt.....detroit fans have been asking that same question since he was drafted but dumars drafted him and he did put togethoer one hell of a team so i'll give joe d the benefit of the doubt

Man i used to love watching Joe D play he was awesome.

yah he sholdn't be saying those racist remarks when he isn't even that good.
