😆 Bill Walton has many faults but that quote isnt one of them. If you are 7ft and 2/3 feet away from the basket any coach worth a damn will tell you the same thing. You dunk it you have the chance for free throws if you dont make it or a 3pt play if you do, i cant believe im gonna say this but Bill Walton is right in this case.

deals done. artest for peja. thoughts? seeing as the lakers and the kings are in the same division... i see one heck of a rivalry happening. kobe versus artest. i dont know about previous meetings, but its gonna be sick watching it happen

Thats exactly what Artest brings to a team Royke, he can effectively guard the oppositions top perimeter player. The Kings now have a real shot at making the post season if Artest can keep his shit together.
If it was down to skill alone i would have loved to see him on the Lakers because even though Kobe loves guarding the Wades, LeBrons and T-Macs of the league he does expend alot of energy doing so. With Artest taking that role it would leave Kobe with alot more energy to play help D and score (as scary as that seems).
No team is going to look forward to playing the Kings with Artest there. Im not sure how he will gel within their offence, the Kings have run a motion offence for years and Artest was usually more effective when the Pacers ran isolations for him. But he is a very good scorer so im sure he'll figure it out. One thing that will be interesting is seeing if Bonzi Wells and Artest can play together, both have a chequered history and fiery temperaments. All in all its a great trade for the Kings, they certainly were not going to improve with Peja on their roster.

dont ever side with a Walton (theres like a thousand of them) over a KMC member, such acts should be illegal

You tell me that what he said isnt true then i will side with you man. You seem to be looking past what he said and only looking at who said it. This is just one of those freak occurrences when Bill Walton actually made sense, in a way its a piece of history.

i just hate bill walton.....GAWD DAMN!! I HATE BOB BARKER (happy gilmore)

Walton makes me laugh most of the time, he is full of shit but at least he is entertaining which is what BSPN is all about anyway. I often hear the other BSPN commentators getting digs in about how spaced out he is with his various ramblings.
I would gladly have Hubie Brown calling the game instead of Walton anyday, that man knows basketball inside out.

@koolz

i got some funny shit to show you man...

Kob's baby girl says F*ck you to all his daddy's haters!

awww isnt she cute?

I think Walton is great, personally. At first I didn't like him but once I stopped taking him seriously, he became outright hilarious. He needs to commentate on all sports, the unintentional comedy would be through the roof. I kinda compare him to Aesop Rock: both say a lot of gibberish but if you look, you can find some really interesting stuff.

Kings get Artist, me happy. 🙂

And since I am happy, here's a vid of shot by shot Mamba's 81 point outing.

That very big of you Dr, thanks. The degree of difficulty on most of those shots is amazing for most players, but #8 makes them look routine.

😆 😆 Thats classic man, good to see she's got her daddy's back.

i'd find a lot of difficulty hitting an open 3 or a free throw in front of 20,000 poeple, let alone some of the stuff kobe does. i've hit some crazy shots on occasion, but night in night out like the people in the nba do is sick. especially people like kobe, iverson, wade, vince and all the other great finishers do. any of you guys play ball for high school or anything? i used to play with mates, and i nearly got on my uni team but i was too unfit lol. impressed the coach with my lil hook shot though😄

I played alot when i lived back in the UK, marriage and 2 kids took care of that though.
😆

I played in high school but track is always where I excelled. I'm starting my 3rd year of sprints in college now.

kool, where in the uk did you live? gwent in wales i am.

I was born and grew up in London (near Heathrow). I left for New Zealand when i was 24 so the UK still feels like home even though i've been here for 7yrs.
Wales looks beautiful, i've always wanted to go there. Reminds me of NZ in some places.

I started at point guard/shooting guard for middle school. I'm really at 3 pointers, but at college sized 3 pointers, Not NBA. I'm pretty good at NBA 3's though.

ah new zealand is lush, thinking of going there sometime. a neighbour lives there for six months then comes back, hates the fact thats its so cold back here in the uk

Hey Darth,

Rob Babcock, the GM for the Raptors got fired today. Isnt that crazy?
