Because its not how NW would fight in that situation. he was trained to asses his opponenet, attack from a postion of suprise and take his opponent out quickly and quietly.

yes but Nightwing was trained to such an extent that he sorta has a kinda sense when someone is sneaking up on him even when they dont make a sound.
Cyclops has been trained but not to that extent.
