Cyclops vs. Nightwing

You want to go that route, Ok, logic is Cyclops fighting the way he is trained, IOW with prep and leading a team.

It cant be done realistically without giving one person an unfair advantage. its so simple.

I never said they were, but taking away how nightwing fights (including stealth and getting the element of suprize) that comes with his training. Is an UNfair advantage, not an advantage.

Maybe you shoudl learn the difference.

Prep was taken away from both characters, therefore there was nothing unfair about it. Like I said, you need to learn the difference

The prep and stealth are as essential to NW as cyclops optic blasts are to him.

Without it its not NW hes fighting.

So if you take away NW's stealth and prep you have to take away Cyclops optic blasts just have them fight it out hand to hand.

We didn't take away his stealth, as for prep, it was taken from both.

No, no they are not. He only rarely uses them. Most of the time he fights straight up. Cyclops's blasts have been with him his whole life. He carries them around all the time. Nightwing does not have prep or stealth in 98% of his fights.

Yes it is. He is perfectly capable of fighting things without prep or stealth. That is what he does most of the time.

No we don't. I'd advise you to read the rules.

Prep time

Neither side receives any notable prep time before the starting bell. Neither side may take any offensive or defensive actions before the starting bell. Planning is allowed and powers that are automatic or 'always on' can be up, but actions such as setting up forcefields, taking flight, or consciously activating powers is not. For example, Batman cannot shove together an 'anti-Avengers ray' before the fight.

Acutally he does fight like that read the NW comics, hes changed ALLOT since his Titans days, hes more like batman now. Even back then there was issues where he tried to teach Jason Todd how to do it. but thats irrelevant now since he fights differently now then is the past.

The prep is part of the stealth, you cant be very stealthy standing right infront of someone, I think you need to look up the meaning of the word.

Nightwing does not get it. Cyclops does not get it.

It's a straight up fight. Nightwing can't beat Cyclops in a straight up fight.

The nethier side thing is wrong, the rules in this case are wrong. and before you say it no I dont always go by the rukles and no im not going anywhere.

If nightwing was facing someone with optic blasts liek Cyclops your damn right he'd prep.

In a one-sided unrealsitic fight cyclops would win. In a realsitc fight Nightwing hides and strikes at Cyclops without making a sound and going undetected.

Sorry but a 'realistic' fight would also have Cyclops being prepared, In which case Nightwing still loses.

I want one that does the same for Nightwing.

The difference is my way given how both people fight and were trained to fight is the more realistic one. Especially since people have used the same tactic to take Cyclops out before.

yes it does, the whole idea of a ninja or assassin is that you dotn see them comming. Its a tactic thats been used on cyclops more then once int he comics. Gauntlet did it in X-factor and he didnt use any special powers or anything he just snuck up and puched him in the back of the head. End of story.

So, Batman has also been snuck up on and KO'd by a normal thug, does that mean that in a fair fight Nightwing is going to sneak up and KO him?

BTW, did Cyclops know he was in a fight at the time?

If he does not know he is coming, then it is unfair fight. Both sides don't have the same starting point.

The point of these fight is to have both fight in equal terms.

If Nightwing gets preptime, so does Cyclops.

If Nightwing does not get preptime, neither does Cyclops.

Is it really that hard to get?

That would be if this fight happened in comics.

But it does not. The whole goddamn point, the reason why we are in here is to discuss which one of the opponents would win in...

S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T fight. No sneaking around. No preptime. No hindering the other characters.

Just two opponents slugging it out with the normal skills, equipment and powers they have.

Yes it is. Because Nightwing has no chance against Cyclops in fair, straight up fight. Cyclops does not need to hinder Nightwing in order to defeat him. Nightwing needs to have the surprise advantage over Cyclops to defeat him.

Therefore, Nightwing is weaker, and thus, loses the battle.
