Chick Tracts and the Bible why the discrimination?

It would be wrong because it constitutes hate speech and has no basis just like what you are spewing about Chick Tracts.

That is what I would expect from the KKK member when he is confronted.

So then you are no different than a KKK member (i.e. a religious version?)

😕

I have nothing to do with Chick Tracts. As a matter of fact, I condemn the hate mongering of Chick Tracts. Your feeble attempt to turn this conversation around on me, is childish and futile.

It's called reasoning and logic.

Now you are not making any sense.

You accused me of turnning the conversation around on you and I was just pointing out that I was not attempting to do that as such. I was merely using logic and reason to show you that you were guilty of the the very thing that you condemned (in your KKK analogy).

Well, you failed. There is no comparison.

JIA is the battery in your brain no longer running ?

I love how you claim the right to discriminate againsts Gays, Atheists, and people of other religions, and utilize hate speech such as Chick Tracts, but then cry "discrimination" when people down-talk your hate speech.

Wake up please...

Why do you feel that I discriminate against gays and atheists? Everything that I think or feel about homosexuals and atheists is in accord with God's Book.

😆

You are hopeless dude...

You condemn Gays as disgusting sinners who deserve to go to Hell. You deny the existance of Love between two men engaging in sexual activity.

You condemn Muslims as false-beleivers, even though your religion has no more evidense to back it up then theirs do.

You condemn Atheists as well.

Your chick tracts slander people of other cultures and life choices. Then you cry out "discrimination" when we fight back against your hate speech.

You are an idiot...

JIA: can the word of god be discriminatory or prejudicial?

I never said that. Hey, believe what you wish or better yet produce a quote where I said these exact words:

You condemn Gays as disgusting sinners who deserve to go to Hell.

That sounds similar to the excuse/tactic Adolf Eichmann used... "I was only following orders."

What do you mean?

Well, the bible has a very clear stance on certain issues, be it women, other religions or homosexuality, that to a secularist or non-christian may seem to be at odds with multiculturalism and diversity that are very important benchmarks of western society.

So, if God is against Gay marrige, and it is considered by Western philosophical tradition that all rights must be extended equally over all people, then the moral stance of God is considered wrong by the modern interpretation of morality.

However, given that God is Good, it would seem that we then are the ones who have erred in our interpretations of what it means for people to have rights and freedoms.

Do the laws of God, by nature of their origin, become the moral good, even if we as humans can come to a completely different consensus about how it is proper to treat other humans?

And as an addendum, why then does, for me personally, it feel outrageously wrong to deny someone the same rights I have because of their declared sexual orientation or gender if it is truly in the greater good. Presumably God has the power to make certain moral choices make me feel better or worse, why would he make me do something that in any way I interpret is wrong when he could make it feel like the right choice?

Excellent analysis of the situation.

God's law transcends human law in every situation. God's law is unchanging and superior than human law; hence, it is a better standard to live by. We make laws based on the majority vote, even if it is immoral (i.e. Jim Crow, Roe vs. Wade). Our feelings should not interfere with our resolve to do what is right in all situations. But many times we allow our feelings to govern our lives. We must live by a higher standard in order to experience God's best.
