Gald stays with the droid and hyperdrives. "Rura, go with Takuan," he says. Rura goes after Takuan.

(Ush, this is one of those "You control Rura" times)

Right, Dexx, the pilot guy is up near the control room for the area, which is one floor above. There are a few dead bodies in here; he's playing around with the computers.

"Can we get out of here yet?" he asks. "They're overriding from the oither side and there's nothing I can do about that."

"there has to be a manual override."

"It's the wrong way around," explains the pilot. "The manual override stops the things being CLOSED, not opened. Look, are we all done?"

"not yet...we need to power up a droid.....so far, you're saying we can't"

(Yeah I know...the pilot guy needs a name)

Galder flips the comlink from his belt and talks to Takuan and the pilot guy. "We need to activate a loader droid in the area that the hyperdrives are in. The hyperdrives are too heavy to carry, but the loader droid would carry it with ease. The droid has to be controlled remotely, but it runs with the rest of the systems. We need to find a way to control it separately. Ya got that?"

"There has to be an electric pannel round here...we can play with the whires afterwards" says takuan looking around

"Actually Takuan, we could have the computer dude fiddle with the computers and then we could control the bot."

"if he can deal with the overrides...we can do the droid"

(You haven't asked for his name, nor has anyone told you it)

Pilot guy understands. He gets to work on re-activating the droid control. But as you have so little time, he doubts you will be able to re-programme the droid so you will somehow have to convince it that you are the new legitimate owners of those drives...

"would an id from a dead security do?....course..there's the picture that doesn't match"

Security aren't really involved in sales. The sales staff all got out of here when the fire alarm went off.

Pilot guy can re-programme some of the droid's basic functions but nothing too detailed- certainly he can't programme it to think that you have just bought the drive, though this doesn't mean there is nothing useful he can do.

If you can impersonate, somehow, one of the sales staff, that would also work.

There are also a couple of more forceful options available.

"Impersonate...how...clothes, acting?...will we need ids?.. a droid certainly can't think...it just needs identification i presume."

"Yeah, if you could find any clothes or an ID," says Gald. "I think we just need to convince it."

"Convince it....with a couple of disconnected whires, i should think"

"Nah, that would be too simple, plus it would probably be good not to fiddle with the droid's circuits and wires."

Neither of you are electronics experts, I am afraid.

Well, you have to give the droid SOME reason to move those things, or think of some other way...

Gald asks the pilot guy over the comlink, "Could you issue commands to the droid via computer console?"
