"No, it's all internal. They wouldn't put them on the ships anyway." He looks at his watch. "Nice knowing you guys..." He heads for the door.

"Is there some sort of docking bay in the emergency drop off section?" asks Gald quickly.

"Not even vaguely..." says pilot guy as he leaves. The door closes behind him and he turns off his comms.

It's suddenly very quiet... except for the loud hammering at the fire doors.

"Damn! I'm gonna throttle that guy once we get out of here..." says Gald, now very angry. Then he asks Takuan.

"Takuan, do you have a suggestion?"

It's difficult to make much sense of the controls; a major re-programming is out of the question, but you can make minor adjustments. If you could just make the droids somehow want to take the damn things to the right place!

(sorry for the delay)
"well..let's see....time's running out. My main ideea was to lock or somehow block all the possible ways other than the way to our ship. And he wouldn't have anywhere to evacuate but there. Ofcourse we'd have to tell him to evacuate more than just the drives....but we would tell him to get those first and after he does...we take off"

If he can't access the designated place to take them, he will do nothing rather than take it elsewhere.

"Perhaps we should let him transport them where he needs...and find another transport from there perhaps...a tool or somekind."

And sadly, again, the place where he will take it if it needs storing is outside your safe zone.

Bascially, you only have four areas you can get to0 the main room for this section, the computer control room for this section, the storage depot, and the nearby docking bay. No other location is in any way practical.

"how about the docking bay....don't they have anything usefull there?"

Well, that is where your escape ship is going to arrive, and there are a number of civilian transports around there, other than that, you haven;t actually looked too hard there.

"Those civillian transports...aren't they powerfull enough to drag the drives?"

Transports as in ships- more to the point, small shuttles. So literally speaking, yes. Practically speaking, you could neither attach them nor get the shuttles to the storage room!

(ooh..i thought they were like those small aeroport transport buggies
don't have anymore ideeas...still thinking)

Well, to lay things out:

You need to either find an alternate means of moving the drives, or find a way to convince the lifter droids to move them to the docking bay. Now, re-programming the droids is not much of an option, but with access to the computer control to this sector there might be an easy way to get them to do what you want... and with little effort, too.

Gald falls and breaks his arm (j/k 🙄 )

"Takuan, see if you can turn the computer control in this sector. I'll sabotage any holocams in the area so that, if you by some chance turn them on, we won't be caught on Holo-Candid Holocamera," says Gald to Takuan. He unholsters his new multipurpose rifle and sets it for ion blaster.

Ok, you can make double sure that no bloody cameras get you...

(BTW, I'm happy to string this out for the exact same length of time that your sleepy LS cousins take ages over their first fight...)

Ion blaster as in destroys electrical systems, yes, Rex? Or does that do something else?

Takuan heads to the conmputer control for activation. "ok..Take care of those cameras he briefly says to gald before heading off"

(yes, the amount of time reserved ....or taken for this job is lil' bit ...longer than i thought)

(ion blaster=ion cannon=destroying the cameras components)

Gald spots a camera in the north-eastern corner of the room, then aims and fires.

Ok, the cameras are totalled, Rex!
