"that would be an ideea...remote controlling"

"It's take far too long to re-write it's programme to accept remote commands," says the pilot. "This thing right now simply shifts cargo to the storage area or to the ship of anyone who has bought it!"

"But how are we going to pretend to be buyers of the damn things?" asks Gald.

"no ideea on this one" says Takuan

"I know you don't, that's why I'm asking pilot guy!" says Gald with a chuckle.

"Do the words 'not my problem' mean anything to you?" says the pilot guy. "It's your job to move the damn things. I'm out of here. You can answer to Kuylen."

"hey ...wait a second....u might still be of some help"

"If you don't have an idea in the next five seconds," says pilot guy, "then I sure as hell aren't sticking around here to be caught..."

"well..i see no other way then reprogramming the droid to be remote controlled"

"Sure, if we have 30 minutes to re-wire it!" says the pilot.

(You need to think less about such radical re-programmings and more about subtle adjustments...)

"Maybe convince him this place is really under attack and make him evacuate the drives on our ship...so hopefully they don't get destroyed"

"No, that would be pointless," says Gald to Takuan. He speaks to the pilot guy. "Well, could we do something less subtle, like...oh..." GAld says, struggling with his words. "Uh..."

"Hmm," says pilot guy to Takuan's suggestion. "I could make it think the storage area was on fire; after the alarm that would make sense. But he wouldn't take it to our ships; he'd have some safe place he is programmed to take it to."

"how about if the way to our ship is the only way openned"

"More likely they'd just do nothing then..."

(Keep thinking along those lines, though)

"Well, I stand corrected," says Gald after the pilot guy considers Takuan's idea. He then speaks to the pilot guy. "How about you look up where exactly the droid is supposed to take the drives, and we put our ships in the spot where the droid is programmed to set the drives down? Then he'll roll onto our ships and set them down."

He brings up the schematics.

"It's an internal cargo hold for emergencies," he says. "No good unless you plan to blast your ships thrugh the wall of this platform."

"Sounds simple enough," says Gald. "My ship has proton torps, so we could blow a big ole' hole in the ceiling. Or we could go for a more subtle entrance and just use laser cannons."

"Idiot!" says the pilot guy. "We are to leave NO evidence of who we are! You start strafing this facility and vids of your ship will be splashed over a thousand worlds within the hour! Anyway, blow that room and the droid simply won;t take it there!"

"Oh, alright Mr. Computer wiz. Is there anyway that our ships could land somewhere on the droid's path, preferably somewhere open?"
