USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Dark Side area

Takuan messes with a few buttons and the centre is back online.

Well, you have computer control, Dexx, but major re-programming would take too long. If you have any minor adjustments to make, go ahead.

Gald aims with the ion blaster and begins to destroy other security systems that could be a nuisance, such as the wall-traps.

(I'm sure you've seen wall-traps in the Essential Guide to Technology & Weapons or in ANH)

No, but fair enough...

I say you have about 150 seconds before the guards break through those bulkheads.

"Hurry Takuan, hurry," says Gald. "Those guards are getting through."

(The wall-traps are also one of the things that flash on camera for a second then explode when Han or Luke shoot them)

(That a lot of people mistake for windows...)

So, any more bright ideas or shall I point a few more clues at you? You have been pretty close to some of the solutions I have (which I at no point pretend are the only ones possible).

"I turned the control for some time now...the droid should be opperational."

(some of the solutions are as simple as not even imagining them..somethings only spottable...or easier spottable at least..on visual....but get through them in the end..i hope)

The droid is certainly now working, but is currently without instructions.

"yes...about that...convincing a droid is still a bit not normal to me...
I guess telling him that we bought the drives and wanna get them on our transport would be to easy and out of the question, right?"

Sadly, security protocol means a sales staff member has to tell a droid who the new owner is.

(kinda figured.....hey..btw..me asking all these things wouldn't take more..than...10..secconds, right 😄 ?
Honestly now....i'm runnung out of ideeas..and it might be right under my nose..like the door thing in the drive room)

You asking these things takes no time at all; well, about half a second to think of them.

What I will say at this point is that this is a good example of where planning helps- if you had checked this out in advamnce you could have kidnapped a sales guy first. It's not a disaster because you'll get out of here soon but stakes get higher later, and if you want to pull one over the Jedi then good planning is your best friend.

If you want to know why Kuylen didn't do all the planning, it's because he can't be bothered with the details, he leaves them to you.

"why don't we just block that damn door for now to buy us more time.....
i'm seeing nothing but the reprogramming now...maybe we can stall enough to do it...what do ya say?"

You're not even sure you know how to re-programme, Dexx. And there is nothing really solid around to block with- nothing compared with the thick fire doors that are already blocking the way.

"ok..so that leaves that out of the way. Look the droid's already online...what must we do to make him get the drives over to the door and corridor into our ship...what's the thing..." says Kojiro moving his eyes around analising the posibillities

Right, if you fake an emergency you can get it to take it to emergency storage... but the emergency storage room is no good to you.

If you can somehow impersonate a salesperson you can get it to think you now own it.

"Do you think there could possibly be a sales person locker room?" Gald asks with little hope of a good answer.

Takes more than clothes, Rex...

Sadly, I think the technical complexties of impersonating a sales staff guy are beyond the scope of your templates. Galder can kill and Takuan is greatr with the Force but you need someone like Quam for in-depth stuff like that. So try looking at the other solutions- finding the right trick with the droid or finding al alternate method of moving the drives.

"hey..he is a transport droid afterall...security systems shouldn't be so required in his case...maybe it needs something simple. Like a code..that he can scan or something like that. The drive's series perhaps..." says Takuan looking for id's around in hope of a clearance...

Sadly, this being a corporate set-up, the security on droids that can move millions of credits worth of equipment around is actually pretty sharp.
