Jean is told, "Phoenix DISINFECTION Successful"

We know that by Phoenix cutting off the Future, the Infection, which was Sublime, was destroyed, but the EVENTS that took place, have NOT been changed.
And NOW, Phoenix is asking what's next? Or more specifically, "Now What"?

Phoenix asks, "Is this the Future"?
It tells her, "You lost concentration, Shock almost killed it" (the Future)

The Consciousness tells us that telekinetic control of all of those atoms isnt as easy as it sounds in training. At the same time over the panels we see in Jeans hand globules of energy develop into something we're told is the wounded universe.
We dont need to know the specific process shes performing, we're told why shes doing it and that the process involves the control of the atoms of the universe at an atomic level. That is sufficient. 😄

Jean under the guidance of the Consciousness goes about growing reality a new future.
She then demonstrates control of the reality at an atomic level in the palm of her hand as stated and depicted on panel.
Whether or ot you think events could have been altered in an easier fashion is irrelevant. Doesnt change the feat she performed.
