I thought it was an injured Universe she repaired atom by atom, but EVIDENTLY NOT.
Summerized:
Phoenix amputated a SPECIFIC Future, that eliminated Sublime.
This caused a shock to the FUTURE that nearly killed it.
Phoenix then, while being ASSISTED by the Consciousness, REPAIRS that FUTURE Telekinetically Atom by Atom.
In the end, Phoenix goes back in time, changes Scotts Mind about Emma,
and that's it.

Phoenix amputated the HCT future.
The consciousness tells her that it was a future she was partly responsible because she got too emotionally involved in reality
When she is about to give up hope the Consciousness tells her theres still a way. Whilst the HCT future/Sublime is taken away Jean is directed to the White Hot Room where she is told she can grow 616 a better future.
Phoenix then materializes 616 in the palm of her hand after having been told that the control of all of those atoms isnt as easy as it sounds in training.
616 is referred to in her hand as a "BADLY WOUNDED orphan universe". The universe is the patient, not the future she amputated, the future that was taken away from her whilst she was directed to the white hot room, the "hospital" so that she could go about growing a better future.
Jean then reaches into 616 and alters Scotts reactions ensuring a different outcome occurs, preventing the occurrence of HCT.

and that scan is from the same issue, you must be missing some pages in your comics, because that is THE VERY NEXT PAGE. I am looking at Warlock Chronicles issue 3 right now and it is the same issue.

This is a completely transparent attempt to demote a major feat of Phoenixes my friend and we both know that. Allow me to show everyone why this is nothing but biased fanboy lies.
Phoenix had to amputate the entire HCT future to rid reality of Sublime. She is told she was successful in her mission. She then asks what’s next? (“Now What?”)
Phoenix inspects the amputated future and asks “Is this the future?” i.e. Is this what fate holds for her friends and the reality she has left behind. (As supported by her later comment of “My friends don’t deserve that”) The Consciousness tells her “This is now” i.e. This is the status quo now the situation she has to face up to there and then. It tells her that she became too emotionally involved during her mission (presumably instead of just carry out her Phoenix work) and these actions resulted in this future, which necessitated Jean amputating the future, thereby wounding “the patient” Jean says despairs saying that her friends deserve better than this fate.
(Notice the 4 claws surrounding this panel. Three down the left one on the right, like a birds talons. This panel is from the perspective of the claws. They are approaching Jean to take away this future)
As the claws approach, the Consciousness lets Jean know there’s hope for her friends, hope for the wounded “patient” it tells her to turn around, that it isn’t the end yet. The claws grasp the future from Jeans hands and Jean looks back to see the White Hot Room, within the crystal, which the Consciousness refers to as a “hospital”
The next scene shows Jean looking back at crystal and the future (the green globe) being taken away in the OPPOSITE direction by the claws. If the future was the patient then why would Jean amputate it and why would this amputation of the future from 616 be deemed as a “successful” mission? You amputate that which you don’t need, that which is a threat to the main body. If the future was the patient then why is it taken away from Jean and never seen again on panel whilst Jean is then directed the other way to the White Hot Room to go on to “Heal wound” to “Grow a better future”? Surely if the future was the patient she would be trying to heal it, the green sphere, by your logic surely she would be trying to grow a better future from the amputated future? LOL
Within the city contained in the M’kraan crystal and with NO green sphere/future to be seen, Jean is told that control of all of those atoms isn’t as easy as it sounds in training. Please bear in mind that Jean was directed to the crystal, to this “hospital” to “grow a better future”, to treat the “patient”. Over the next few panels in the palm of her hand globules of energy slowly materialize coming together to form what we are told is the “BADLY WOUNDED orphan universe” As this is happening Jean asks the guiding Consciousness what it is she’s forming, what it is she has to fix? Thereby telling you that no repairs have taken place, no patient has been treated yet. Why? Because the patient is this universe in her hand. A “badly wounded universe” that we are told is “Phoenix work”.
Coincidentally I had to provide my own image depicting this scene pertaining to the “badly wounded” universe. I wonder why? Doesn’t fit in with the anti-Phoenix agenda to actually provide the truth?
Jean then peers into 616 and is confused by what she sees and asks what it means. The Consciousness then relates to her the things which lead to the Here Comes Tomorrow future:
Quentin Quire steps in to tell her that to avoid that future, to replace the one she cut away( The green sphere that was taken away from Jean BEFORE she went into the crystal to go about healing the BADLY WOUNDED universe) she has to symbolically water it (the universe in her hand) with her hearts blood, i.e to cut all ties with the reality she got too involved with and will Cyclops to live his life and forget about her.

Silly boy. It is the orphan universe he’s talking about. Is it not the orphan universe she has in her hand when he says that she has to water it with her hearts blood? Was the orphan universe not marked out as badly wounded? Was Jean not directed to the White Hot Room , the “hospital” to fix the “patient”, to grow this “patient” a new future? So what is it Jean has in her hand and applies her power to when she says the famous line “Live Scott. Live” ?
