I feel like I need to really read the Koran.
I feel like my wanting to treat Islam the same as Christianity or Judaism (with regard to "noble intent," not actual practice) may be wrong, that Mohammad was not up there with the likes of Jesus, Buddha or Moses.
That disturbs me, but I'm not convinced (yet, anyway) that it's right.
There is a lot of anger over Islam these days, from both sides. I feel there's a lot of clouded judgment.

Christianity was the power behind the Salem Witch Trials, The Spanish Inquisition, the near extermination of the Native Americans, the promoted racism against Incas and Incan culture in South America, and so on.
Both Christianity and Islam are responsible for the Crusades, which still manifest in small forms today.
Violence, Hate and Discrimination are blindly shielded as Faith, Love, and Understanding by so many Christian and Islam groups, the hypocrisy makes me f*cking sick to my stomach.
Ofcourse, many Christians are decent people, and not all Muslims are violent senseless people.
But as a whole, Christianity and Islam have done more harm than good...

Like I said before, my sexual orientation has less to do with my dislike of Christianity and Islam. I was Christian for 18 years, I was also Bisexual for 20 years....I was both for a long time...if my sexuality were the reason for me disliking Christianity, I would have never been Christian.
Christianity is corrupt...for the most part..that's all. Islam is more so. The violence and hostility that both religions cause, anger me far more than the whole anti-gay sentiment.
If I were straight, I'd still dislike Christianity and Islam just as much.
