You could have fooled me. What you are doing is "evangelising" - it is essentially promotion of your religion over all others. You believe it is right and all that jazz - you promote it by proclaiming it as such. You try and promote it by using garbage like this "evolution and teaching it lead to social ills."
I don't have to believe it? Your right. However in not believing it I debate you "authority" to claim you a right. I doubt your authority, and as such I think you should listen to other people - because, you know, they might ACTUALLY know what they are talking about? Just because they are religious doesn't render them wrong. Especially if it turns out there is no God.
The First chapter of the Book of Romans [i.e., Romans 1:16-32] best describes you and others who hold the Word of God in derision...it would do you well to read it...even if you don't believe it.Marchello

As above - people were quick to blame everything thing but themselves in this tragedy. Games, music, movies, evolution. Weak argument - absurd!

You support the claim that "teaching evolution has increased violence and crime"
I point out that violence and crime have existed for ever, including while Christianity was being taught, and it was in fact greater in the past then the present.
So you say:
Crime during religious control - means nothing about Christianity.
Crime while evolution is being taught - Evolution is evil and leads to crime.
Dear me - use you brain, that lump of matter in your head, and see if you can detect your hypocrisy there.

Way to miss the point again.
Now come on Alliance, don't bad mouth the Internet like that, quite a lot of websites on the net are a very good recource. (It's just that people don't use them.)
There is a reason why lectures and university professors warn people off relying on the Internet to form the basis of there argument -
1st: It allows every person to present there evidenced theory.
2nd: As a result it allows other people to use that unevidenced theory and claim it is fact (JIA)
3rd: It is often poorly sourced/plagiarised.
4th: It is full of crippling inaccuracies.
And so on. There is useful stuff assessable by way of the Internet - I frequent journal databases when I can't access a hard copy - Jstore etc etc. But that is simply accessing books and journals stored on the Internet. I have never met a single teacher who would give a pass grade on a paper which only used Internet sources - unless it was using the Internet to access actual, evidenced books and journals and lectures.
